One thing I could definitively see in the video...well, 3 things- 1. The camo hat is terrible 2. The Corvette steering wheel is horrible. 3. The GT3RS was walking away from the C8 on straights...which tells me, with equal drivers the 3RS will be vanishing in front of C8.

I'm sure it will be lots of fun. But there is a reality, and that reality is they're not close. You would understand things more clearly if you jumped in a RS and cut 50 laps non-stop and did the same with the C8.

The first video posted here received some feedback around how it was not a fair comparison because it was a public session which was full of other slower cars etc - typical excuses you would see on any car forum if the car in question/being criticized is the respective car of the forum being posted.
This second video, to my naked untrained unprofessional eyes do not appear to exhibit any of the problems of the first video. You can see in this video 2xGT3RS followed by C8 and they are pretty close. There does not appear to be any slower traffic anywhere and the cars are being driven pretty well. Lots of turns and lots of straights and the 3800 lbs 495 hp Chevy keeps up pretty well.

I don’t understand? Both cars are still lapping slower than boxsters on this track.

Looks like a mid-level DE group session. Of course any experienced spec-Boxter driver is going to outrun them both.
As to whether or not the kid is trying to show off his "skills," I've watched a few of his videos, and he doesn't seem to come off too cocky or anything like that. He does rave about his car, as any kid with the car-guy mentality and an expensive new car is prone to do. Heck, I'm a 51-year old guy and act that way when I get a new toy also. But he doesn't much brag about how great HE is or anything like that.
