Default This makes my Porsche feel inadequate

My neighbor has something new parked outside his home. I was walking my dog and saw it out front a few days ago, then yesterday he passed by me in it. It's magnificent. Makes my 991 seem rather Corolla-ish.

And I'm pretty sure this is the car. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/a...-f12tdf/625401

There's play money and then there is REAL play money.

I'm not impressed, nor should you be.

Looks like different wheels than the auction car.

Yep, be thankful what you have since there are many more with much less, and the 911 is still a great car for a fraction of the price.

$1.3 million would buy you:

- GT2 RS
- GT3 RS
- GT3 Manual
- Cayenne
- Taycan

They are certainly impressive and pretty to look at. I rather keep my very reliable and low key-ish Pork. I like it when my cars start in the morning.

Well if that car does not impress you, than you are not a car person. I am on Ferrari # 8 and Porsche #44. If you have ever driven a 812 superfast you would understand. Modern Ferrari's are pretty reliable. My 458 spider has 23K miles (is modified) and runs as well as the 2 911's and Cayman S I own now.

My brother and I have owned over 100 Ferraris and maybe 30 Porsches. I can tell you that when I drive my Porsche to the Ferrari dealer not one person will even ask me about the car. When I drive the Ferrari to the Porsche dealer everyone comes out to look and ask questions.

That's silly to compare a $200k car to a $1M+ car just as it is to compare a $40k car to a $200k car.

Nice car no doubt.... I am a car guy..... a Ferrari passes me by I tell my gal, "My lottery car."

Then a McLaren, again, "My lottery car."

A Lamborghini, "My lottery car."

A '73 Carrera RS or a 356 Carrera 2.... "My lottery car."

My point is I like them all, and I'm going to have to hit on a big payout if I ever win the lottery......

It's ok to appreciate what others have, but you have to appreciate what you have too.

I'm getting to a point in my life where I'm pretty content with what I have, and I don't have the desire/jealousy to acquire or accomplish what others might have. It's been a liberating process for sure.

Doesn't mean I won't still YOLO $TSLA calls and let $SPCE take me to the moon, though
