Default Lexus LC 500

So I have an 18 991.2 GTS and my wife and I do a lot of road trips...however, recently she has become a little tired of the road noise and how loud the car is on a long drive. No guys, can't get rid of my wife but thinking of the 2 door Lexus LC500. Anyone out there drive one or no someone that has one? Would love to know there thoughts. Thanks in advance!

My best friend has one. it reminds me of my old Jaguar XKR. When reading about them online, they don't get a fair shake because they are pitted against cars like a vantage and a 911.... it's not that. It is a pure GT car and not a sporty car. IMO the styling is fantastic and the interior is stunning. I love that they went with an NA 5.0 V8. It drives beautifully but it is a Lexus and drives how it's supposed to for a Lexus. It feels quiet a numb compared to a 911, because that's the point. I recently had to get a new daily driver and tried to convince myself that I could make a coupe work and tried hard to justify.... ended up in a Cayenne.

That being said - you should absolutely test drive a Macan.... I think they are pure witchcraft in how perfect they are sans back seat room which obviously you don't need if you're looking at the Lexus

Just note if you end up getting a Lexus, you can't do too much with them in regards to performance as Toyota puts those ecu's in like an impenetrable vault. You can't mess with the ecu so no turbo's or crazy builds on them. Maybe piggyback systems only. I used to be in the lexus mod scene..

Have you taken a Cayenne or Mecan for a long test drive.... man Cayenne's are so darn comfortable to ride in, plus if you got the bug to fix it up, you can mod it

Lexus = Boredom, there's not many other brands that create little to no excitement like Lexus does.

That's the point of them!

The LC is the best of the boring. That engine and transmission for a cruiser are absolutely glorious and the car is dead quiet.

I’m really not a fan of the looks but if you like them then it will be smooth, luxurious, fast and reliable!

If you get one I'd pick it up used, depreciation has not been kind! It will certainly be a comfortable highway cruiser, but I think the design will not age well.

I think 992 interior is inspired by LC500 which is not a bad thing. I like LC500 as what it is. Great car to drive long distance I guess.

I have owned several of the more sporty SC models. The ride is OK, but doesn't handle bad roads very well, handling feels heavy, steering is slow, throttle response is poor and performance lags comparable models from other brands. I drove an LC500 when my SC430 was having work done. Kind of felt like a modern version of the SC430. You get the feeling all Lexus models are designed for old people. I don't think i'll ever get old enough to appreciate them.

You may not get old enough, but your wallet will thank you The SC was based on the Supra.

RR Racing cracked Lexus ECU’s years ago. They had a tune event at Carlsbad Lexus years ago, specifically
for ISF’s. About 50 ISF’s showed up. They installed their tune on mine, and it was quite a transformation. Their dyno work showed over 50HP increase. I can tell you their tune was amazing on my car!
They have since created a complete supercharger system, with tune, for all “F” V8 cars. They are the real deal.
