Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself, I just picked up a 23' 992 targa 4 GTS (50th Anniversary Porsche Design Edition). Absolutely loving the car, I have a few mods I want to do, however nothing too crazy as I don't want to alter the car too much as it's a special edition. That said, I want to install carbon side mirrors, lowering springs, mayyyybe a tech art front lip, and finally satin PPF. What do you guys think about the PPF? Thanks and excited to be part of the community.

PPF always a great idea. Specially since its black. I'd advise.
Also, did this come from Porsche San Francisco? i saw they had one for sale not too long ago

Welcome! Gorgeous car!!! I wouldn't personally do anything to it since it's just stunning as is and is rare enough so it's unique--but it's your car, so if you want to personalize it more- then who am I to say. When you say satin PPF- do you mean PPF or a wrap?

PPF, they offer an option where the PPF has a satin finish, it gives the same protection as regular PPF while changing the finish of the paint. Jury is still out, although I do want to do it sooner than later so my baby's protected lol

Thank you! I bought it from a private individual through my car broker, I think he originally purchased it from Palm Springs

You need PPF..although I don't know if I'd go satin. To me a shiny black car is super sexy--so I did regular PPF and then a ceramic coat over it on my previous 992. I guess it depends upon what you like. I live in a building filled up with stealth matte wraps, so I tend to rebel and go for the shine ;-)

Yea agree, same thing in LA, virtually every other car has some type of matte or satin wrap. Decided to keep it as is, now I just need to figure out a way to keep dirt and fingerprints off for longer than 30 seconds after a wash How much did your ceramic coat help with that? Also I didn't know you could add ceramic over PPF.
