New member - 718 GTS 4.0
New to Rennlist and hopefully new to the Porsche community. Just put down a deposit and submitted my build. Hoping for an allocation.
Here is my build. Would love your thoughts and comments.

Today is my first day in the chat as well.
Last week I officially ordered my build. 718 GTS 4.0 in the couple. I went with the Agate Gray as well since it is clearly the best color. I was going to wait a few more years to get my Cayman but with the 2025 news, I started to think this could be my last chance for the flat 6 so I just did it. Didn't wan to risk a lifetime of regret for waiting too long. I got one of the last two allocations left in Southern CA.
I went super simple on my build. The gray and the racetex/leather interior were the only pay options I took. I did get the $010mm raised front since I am concerned about my driveway approach and the $0 deletion of the rear logo. My wife has a Range Rover Sport and I had cleaning around the raised lettering. It is so time consuming and never comes out perfect anyway. I figured it already has the painted door logo so just go without.
Two comments on your build.
First, how come you didn't go with the black wing? I was considering the door handles like you did but would have done the wing as well thinking they kind of go together.
Second, I wanted the LED lights as well but you can't get them without the adaptive mechanics. I have adaptive lights in my 2016 BMW X5 and I have grown to hate them since they are always malfunctioning. They work the next time I turn the car on but they have just been a hassle. Plus, they are about 3x as expensive to replace.
Great build and hopefully you get your allocation. They market is softening so I don't believe they are as difficult to get as now. My dealer told me that the 3rd and 4th quarter allocations are usually 2025 models and there is no official word yet as to if the 4.0 will be available in 2025. The word on the street is the gas models will be around for at least 2025 so you should be good.

Funny you mention the black wing. It is very tough to see the difference in the configurator unless you look down from above. I have added so much, so honestly it was just so minor, I didn’t add it. If I get the allocation, I might add the black wing.
Your story is identical to mine. Wasn’t planning on getting the car this year until I heard the rumors about the engine and I really want that naturally aspirated flat 6 💪

Hey, I also placed a downpayment for a 718 GTS 4.0 yesterday and signed the paperwork today. Your build looks great. Here is the link: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRAHFYJ3

Mine locked yesterday on 4/2.
I was intrigued by the metallic green as well. On the computer, it looks pretty close to the gray which is what I went with. Easy choice for me since I knew I wanted dark gray. Have you seen the green in person? I think I like it the best of your top 3 but it is a color I would want to see in person. It is just too hard to see how green or gray it is on the screen. Silver would be my 2nd choice and I personally would never drive red or yellow (or anything flashy). Even though it's not for me, I can say that the Porsche yellow always looks great. My buddy had a 2015 Cayman in the SP yellow and I thought it was amazing. I do think with yellow, tinting the windows dark is a must.
