I saw the 944 there also with NINE44 plate registered in MA. I thought that was Mike's car, but then remebered he had the RI Sailboat plates. The owner of the MA car is a guy named Dave. Was Mike's car there also?

No, you're right. It wasn't Mike's car. It wasn't until I was driving into work this morning that I remembered the car we saw at the show had MA plates and Mike's car has RI plates.

Best regards,
Dino

Hi Guys!

So, I am still alive...

Sounds like I have missed out on quite a bit - Germany, China, car shows - oh boy! I had seen a picture of the "other" NINE44 car in another thread (I think it is an S2/turbo), I guess I have an evil (and possibly faster) twin.

I had been planning on going to the Porschefest with the 44, XK, and SLC following me up, but we had to bow out at the last minute due to the bank inspector (tracking our renovation progress) deciding to come that Monday following the show instead of Wednesday the same week.

So we had to move some things around and the show was the first thing to get bumped of course.

Wish me luck as the renovations are almost done. Tom and I will have to show you guys some pictures. If anyone knows people looking for an apartment, the townhouses will be available soon. New hardwoods, cabinets and appliances, 2 story layout not including private basement and off street parking. Neighborhood is working class, but we have pushed to make our property stand out among the other nice ones in the neighborhood.

Looking forward to seeing you guys soon.

- Mike

No, you didn't miss much.

So, when are we getting another event together? They changed my schedule and I'm only working 1 Sunday a month now.

Nice! I saw tons of exotics out and about yesterday while driving in the Spyder. Great day for a drive.

Next Cars and Coffee will be this coming Sunday September 25th, 9:30 AM at the Taunton Starbucks. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

That would be the only Sunday I work, but I can still make it up at 9:30 and stay for 30 minutes!

Well the weather isn't looking all that great for tomorrow unfortunately. If it's raining I won't be going since it's not fun standing out in the rain.

Maybe we can postpone to the following weekend (October 2nd) if anyone is interested?

Feel free to postpone it since rain sucks! I can't make it on October 2nd, but I hope to make it to the next one.

Best regards,
Dino

NINE 44 is Dave Poul, he's from Central/Western MA. We had a "New England Fun Run" that I set up through 944online and he attended, good guy, heck we are all good guys when we meet up. Neil was there too in his cherry 993.

NINE 44 is an 87 NA and a very nice one at that. But Dave got bit by the 951 bug and just bought one of the nicest stock 951's in the region, so now he has two P cars in the driveway. A black on Black, cup II wheels and only 57k miles. pics are here on page 4.

One of these days I am going to meet up with you guys! Looks like I missed out all summer. Porsche fest was great. I have a full gallery of pics on my site from that day and my son and I went to Ferrar/ Maserati in Norwood for the tail end of the show that had too.

Hi Chris,

No, haven't lost interest, we haven't been around. Jill & I have been in Montreal on vacation for the last 10 days and just got back home this afternoon. We also didn't schedule a cars & coffee when Afshin was in Asia. A few times when there were no planned gathering & the weather turned out to be nice we met up at the last minute and took the cars on drives (but we didn't have anyones' phones #s to see if anyone else was available. If there is interest in some of our last minute meets or drives just pm or email a cell # ).

We hope to get in a few more C&Cs before the nice weather ends. Hope all is well.
Best regards,
Dino
Ps...looks like we'll have a 3 car garage soon.
