We're lucky to have a little place in Monterey, so at least we don't have to worry about rooms. That's a great idea on the reception. The Embassy Suites is well located and must have an area where we could all get together. If not there I'm sure we could work out something. As the time gets closer we'll have to have a show of interest and see what it takes to set something up.
Congrats Ed. I bet you all excited, ha? Friday is an awesome day for taking delivery. Love the flush version and wish I had done it when we built the house 3 yrs ago. Hate to tear apart the garage floor though. I am leaning toward Bendpak HD-9. Any feedback on this lift is appreciated. Thanks
Thanks Mike
Could you drive down to San Diego and get my car out of PDI. I guess there are no trucks to haul cars to the Pacific Northwest. Porsche claims Barrett Jackson as the excuse. I guess the auction doesn't happen every year.
I don't know of anyone in particular, and I already have a Delrin centering tool that I got from Rennline, but I know when this came up before there were several people who expressed interest in an alternative to the pricey options that were out there (just can't remember who). I think you should post a pic on the forum and ask people to PM you. As a RL member you have the right to post about stuff you'd like to sell. I bet you'd get a nice response. Good luck.
Hi Smokin,
Thanks, I enjoyed doing it. I didn't consider analyzing the oil. I know some folks do it on a regular basis, but I never have. Probably a good idea. As for additives, Porsche doesn't recommend using them. In fact on page 161 of the owner's manual it says, "Porsche engines are designed so that no oil additives may be used." I don't know the exact reason for this, but I've always just followed the factory on that one. Best, Mike
