Ross,
You mean 928 not 911, the car looks great inside and out for an 85, I may have found what was causing the carbon problem, when I checked the intake vacuum it was reading a very low 14 at idle and the idle was very rough, I traced the problem to the brake booster once I disconnected the vacuum line from the brake booster it jumped up to 25 and the idle smooth right out. In the process of replacing the brake booster and give it mini tune-up dist cap and rotor. I 'll keep you in mind if I ever decide to sell.

Hi pjp,
I hope your 911 is doing well...I followed it quite closely on ebay and saw the posts on rennlist. I was in Jacksonville for work and told my wife "if they don't take the offer on the house, I'm going down to look at this 928 and buy it if it's as nice as it sounds".
Well, they said yes as you can guess. I hope the carbon is all that the valves are, the owner sounded like a nice guy and a real 928 enthusiast.
If you decide to move on or upgrade or whatnot, please drop me a line, I'd be interested in it (well, in a year plus, need to recover from the home purchase)
Regards,
