Hi, and your welcome. The car in my avatar is an '86.5 with auto tranny (no limited slip) that I bought in '08 with 88k miles. I purchased it long distance while I lived and worked in Alaska. The car was for sale in Green Bay, so I had Erik (Hacker Pshorr) take a look at it for me, and had a 928 mechanic do a PPI (pre purchase inspection) and let me know what it needed. I ended up replacing every sensor on it, I did the cam cover gaskets, timing belt water pump, A/C totally redone, etc. I wanted a solid platform to boost since I was in Alaska I had the mechanic shop do it. (Costly) Then I sent it to Tim Murphy so he could build his S4 kit into one for the '85-'86. I went for the stage 3 kit as I was looking to get about 500rwhp. Once the tuning was done I left Green Bay with 475 to the ground. This year in May I was on a PacNW group run down in Oregon, when on the way I grabbed third gear and went to WOT and hit 11psi when my headgasket let go, (stock gasket 22 years old).

Hi there, Thanks for responding. How many miles on your car, whose kit did you choose, and did you do the install yourself? I'm really excited about this project, but I want to make sure I do enough research. I'm really interested in your story, what influenced you, and how you like it now. Thanks again, Brian
