    Hi Matt,

Sorry, I've just now seen your message. I think the EPS bearing kit is a perfectly fine solution. The biggest reason it gets a bad rap is because of some misspelled words and poor grammar in the instructions. The bearing is more than up to the task it needs to perform. Granted, I have since sold that car (convertible) in favor of a coupe, so I can't tell you how many miles it has logged since it was installed. I can tell you that I would not avoid purchasing a car that has the EPS bearing kit in it. I think it's a clever solution to a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place.

Good luck with your purchase (if this isn't too late)....

    Greetings!

Please forgive the unsolicited IM, but I am researching the EPS bearing kit and saw that you posted on one of the few threads that came up in my search. I wanted to ask if your experience is still positive or if you had any issues with the bearing.

I am considering purchasing a 1999 996 and the owner has paperwork demonstrating that he had the EPS kit installed in 2015 - I had not heard of the EPS kit before this. I did not wish to post a thread and start the "EPS/LN" debate again.

    Thanks again in advance,

    Matt
