Description:
I love this car but the money could be put to better use elsewhere. Before you is my 996 Turbo X50 coupe in Slate Gray Metallic with a 6 speed manual. Sold my 997 Turbo in favor of this car and it's offered everything I expected in terms of driving experience - nimble, analog, brutally fast. It has a short shifter sourced from a GT2 and BBI GT2 slave cylinder conversion for excellent clutch feel and shifting. There's an aftermarket Pioneer head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a full Pioneer and JL Audio sound system setup. Car has Turbosmart IWG75 wastegate actuators and a Marski tune and supposedly makes 600hp to the crank, though I've yet to get it on a dyno to verify. Needless to say, it rips. Clutch was upgraded to a Sachs 2.5 kit to handle the additional power and grabs great with no signs of slipping. It was on KW V3 coilovers when I purchased it but it has been riding on a brand new set of Ohlins R&T coilovers for the past few months. There's an Evoms carbon fiber air intake and full SpeedTech 3.0" x-pipe exhaust with cat bypass pipes so the car sounds phenomenal and occasionally shoots some flames. Car was converted to RWD and paired with a GT2 rear wing by the previous owner so the car feels very agile and light on its feet (tires?). It just received a full service at GT International in Austin, TX this year which includes plugs, coils, fluids, and filters. Transmission underwent a rebuild to the tune of $13k by the previous owner in 2021, but it currently exhibits second gear pop-out under deceleration. There's also a minor Pentosin leak from the rear area.
Will get some more pictures of the car this week, schedule has been a bit hectic but I wanted to put this listing up before I got cold feet. Asking price is for the car on OEM wheels and the standard heated power comfort seats. I also have a set of 996 GT3 Euro bucket seats and the MeisterWorks 18" wheels pictured in the feature image that can be included at an additional cost. Clean Texas title in hand.
