Description:
Hello everyone,
I am selling my beloved 991.2 Carrera 7MT. I purchased this car in February of 2025 to replace my 718 GT4. My intent on purchasing this was to have a more street friendly Porsche that I could pile my family into. Fast forward a year and our family has grown and the 911 does not fit in our lives. It pains me as selling this will be my departure from the Porsche world for the time being.
I think some people initially overlook the 991.2 C2 but I truly love this car and it might be my favorite Porsche I’ve owned (even more so than my last GT4). I think the character is perfectly matched for the street and is more fun than anything else out there. The engine feels very linear (despite being turbocharged), the engine screams towards the 7000+RPM Redline and the inputs are nearly identical to some of the higher trim levels (even GT cars).
Specifically when I was looking to purchase a 991.2 I initially was looking at Carrera Ts. I quickly realized that the “base” Carrera was 99% of the T, but for a better value. The only discernable difference to me was the LSD and marginally shorter final drive (2nd and 3rd gear are only off my 1-3MPH)... Once I realized all of this, my attention moved away from the T and onto the C2, and am so glad it did. By adding the OEM GT4 Short Shifter, the gap narrowed even further. I owned both my GT4 and the C2 at the same time and could not tell the difference in shift action between the two. It truly is a joy to drive. If my kids were older and everyone fit, this car would be a lifer for me. It truly does everything extraordinarily well, from backroad rips with friends to daycare runs and everything in between. However, I hate to let cars sit and I don’t see myself driving this for the foreseeable future with my obligations. I think this would be better served for the next custodian.

The Good:
This car has all of the right OEM options paired with the best OEM and aftermarket add ons to not only drive great but look the part as well. Car has been recently fully serviced with fresh rubber and is ready to go! I would not hesitate to drive this car coast to coast at any time. Car has PPF on the following places: Full Bumper: Half Hood, Half Fenders, and Rear Arches . As this is a 2017 Carrera, there is a 10 year water pump warranty that is still active on this vehicle from the date of production. I have never heard any noises or reasons to believe the cooling system needs attention, otherwise I would have addressed this. The car has always been warmed up properly and driven with care.
The Bad:
This ultimately is a used car so there are a couple little items that I don’t notice but want to be transparent. There is some touch up paint on the rear bumper maybe 1/4th the size of a dime that the previous owner took care of. On the passenger side stone guard, there is a very very small dent from a pebble that bounced up and hit the PPF area prior to me taking delivery. The rear slats on the decklid show some discoloration; I am pretty sure this can be adjusted with some product (even tire shine) I just never got around to it. There are some light scuffs on the seat backs from my kid getting in and out, though I have no idea who could see these without crawling back there. Beyond that, the car presents as new or as close as possible to it. This car has no stories and needs absolutely nothing to be enjoyed immediately by the new owner!
The car is located in North New Jersey just outside of NYC (20 mins from EWR / 30 mins from LGA / 60 mins from JFK). PPIs, In person visits, Facetime visits are all welcomed.
Thank you!
