As a note on pricing - I am obviously not impartial as Amir's close friend and the "builder" of this car, but I am also a 993 market participant and have studied that market extensively. Amir's original ask was appropriate, if on the higher end for the mileage. But that's what you do when you list a car with an OBO ask.

The number it will sell at will be in line with the above data. The air cooled market is filled with ambitious buyers looking for a bargain. There's no such thing.

A 993 with 100k on the clock has either been properly addressed from a deferred maintenance standpoint, or it needs to be. There is no real opportunity to hedge with air cooled cars. You pay for exactly what you get. If it's a "bargain," it needs refreshing and labor to do that. If the car is bought at 115, it needs 10. And so on. This car has been completely sorted with an open checkbook. If my labor was charged, it would be a 25k investment since Amir's purchase. It will now need nothing for the next 15 years.

People also seem to be a little too preoccupied with top end refresh. You don't refresh a motor with perfect leakdown, compression, and no oil consumption. My RS tribute has 115k miles on the original motor, and is likewise in perfect health. I would never remotely consider rebuilding the top end absent performance loss or objective indicia that it was warranted.

Comment from the prior owner, who owned the car for ~ five years.

Nice car none the less
agree with this, just this past week a couple of 4S with half these miles sold in auctions for less than asking price , it’s a hard market to gauge.
