No, no. All Amir's money. He's just one of my best friends. But one who doesn't know the difference between a hex and a Torx . . . Lol.
I helped him find the right car, did the work, sent it off to be enjoyed. Nothing in it for me but friendship and enjoyment of the process.
And not a flip. This was to be his first air-cooled, personal car. He's just ready for a change.
And honestly, no shade if it was. I'll never understand why reselling a car for profit when legitimate work has been done to bring it up to snuff is criticized.
I hope this finds a good home! Thanks for sharing that photo gallery, interesting to see the process.

I fully agree with all of this, but unfortunately there is not going to be any profit in this case as I’m in it for more than my ask! Whoever gets it is IMO getting a sweet 993 for the money.
In this time, buying desirable cars with relatively high miles ( > 75K miles) and that too on or above the market, what would happen if the new owner puts on another 15-20K miles?
In this case, what would this car commands with 120K miles ?
Nice car none the less

based on 993 C4S sales tracked by classic.com, mileage does not appear to impact price after ~70k miles, so my guess is the new owner will be able to sell it for roughly the same amount at 120k miles.

Good point , tracking bat and other auction sites shows that 993s past 90-100k miles are selling in the $105-$120k range max usually when a top end rebuild is involved . Taking that into consideration would be safe to say that even if this car has 120k miles it’ll still be worth $100-$110k as opposed to now near 100k miles its most likely a $115-$120k so someone could buy it and enjoy and still won’t lose much money.
Making money on cars should be the least of an enthusiasts worries lol, it’s the enjoyment that matters.
I bought my cobalt blue GT3 from the seller and it was perfect. I’ve also seen this 993 and can vouch for its condition! Sad to see it go and wish I could buy it myself!

Thanks man, I still miss that car! And I wish you could buy this car, too; that was the easiest transaction ever.
I’ve seen and driven this car and can say it’s every bit as nice as it looks in the photos and videos.
Amir has taken great care of it, and I can’t think of anyone better than Jordan (and his ocd) when it comes to both mechanical work and detailing. He’s meticulous, and it really shows in how clean and well-sorted this 993 is. Whoever ends up with it will be getting a great car.
As I mentioned in the ad, my price is OBO, but there seems to be a lot of questions about the mileage and lack of an engine rebuild. The leakdown test was perfect so there is no reason to rebuild the engine. The engine health was one of the reasons I chose this car. Also, the factory aerokit was a must for me as I think it’s the best looking wing on any 911 (obviously subjective). If you look at classic.com the average 993 C4S is 148k. Yes you can get C2s, cars that need $$$ to get them up to snuff, cars without aerokit, etc for less.
Just for full transparency, I paid 120 for this car, and invested approx 17K in parts because the car had a lot of deferred maintenance. Maybe I’m an idiot for that, but that’s the reality. I have receipts for the wire transfer of the purchase price and the parts. I’m not expecting to get anywhere near what I have into the car on this transaction, but I’m also not going to sell it for less than what I paid for the car prior to putting any money into it. Hope this clears things up. And perhaps the only bigger idiot is @jreifler for putting in around 15K worth of free labor.
