Yeah, I think you need to have 3 public posts before DMs are enabled. So, I can't communicate with you privately until then.

If you have any general questions, feel free to ask here in the thread - thanks!

Making my 3rd post so I can DM lol. Hope I can use the forums more once I get the 997.
Do you still have all the original stock parts? I’ll likely need them to pass California smog.
Also, curious if there was a specific issue that led to the transmission replacement, or if it was done proactively?
Thank you.

No, unfortunately, I didn't save the original parts (it was supposed to be my forever car, so I didn't think of that).

As far as the trans.... 2nd gear had always been a bit of a nuisance. It's a known issue for this car and I did many of conservative (less expensive) approaches over the years.
Then this past summer my Indy said that the trans probably needs to be rebuilt. And while we're in there we should look at 3rd gear too.
At that price point of rebuilding 2 gears, I started looking for a whole tranny - when we saw a "reman" transmission from the factory and this was also when the tarrif threat was going on in Febuary-ish.
So, I pulled the trigger and just did the whole trans swap out (again, being my forever car, the cost was fine).

But unfortunately, my life circumstances have changed and now I am willing to part with it as long as it goes to a good home and at a fair price.

I did a bore scope when I bought it 6yrs and 20k miles ago and it was clean then.

Haven't done a DME Report. No over-revs since I owned it, but I know the report would be nice to have to validate that.

So few of these out there. I don't think you're asking enough.

1) 997
2) Coupe
3) Black - widely appealing
4) 4S
5) MANUAL!!
6) Well cared for with strong documentation including 60K service and clutch
7) No paintwork or accidents mentioned. So, I'm assuming it's clean.
8) Popular mods completed. Car play, intake, exhaust

Not many of these cars out there.

Thanks, yes no accidents, no paintwork, no stories with this one!

I had some feelers out there for $62k to $65k and got shot down. When I looked at the auction sites most cars don't perform well there (for the Seller).

So thank for you chiming in and giving my 997 some love!!!

IMO, #5 is #1. So hard to find a manual transmission in the eras I am looking ('09-2016). Glws, looks like a well-documented car. 0 accidents is also rather uncommon, based on my search results these past several months.
