Description:

Introducing our Rear Exhaust Aerodynamic Diffusers, meticulously designed for vehicles equipped with aftermarket rear exhaust systems. Crafted with precision, the diffuser is constructed from powder coated 5052 Aluminum, while the vanes boast impact-resistant Delrin for durability.

When transitioning from OEM exhausts on 718 GT4s, Spyder, GT4RS, and Spyder RS models, it's common to experience a loss in aerodynamic performance. The box shape of both OEM and certain aftermarket exhausts tends to complete the flat region of the floor and diffuser, which aid in decreasing drag and lift.

Our diffusers not only address but enhance these concerns by restoring and improving drag and lift reduction characteristics. Specifically tailored for vehicles equipped with aftermarket exhaust systems, our diffusers optimize aerodynamics, ensuring a seamless blend of performance and style for discerning enthusiasts.

  • Super easy to install and remove.
  • Diffuser set is both left and right diffuser pieces. 1 set per car.
  • Completely bolt-on installation, include brackets and additional hardware matching OEM T25 drive type.
  • Boasts a 10° Diffuser angle, a 27% increase in total diffuser area over a car with factory muffler, and 130% increase in area over the factory muffler flat bottom sections.
  • Minimal restriction of hot air exhaustion from engine bay.
  • The diffuser is constructed from 5052 Aluminum, while the vanes boast impact-resistant Delrin for durability.

     FAQ:

Q: Will these fit the 981 GT4 or 718 GTS models?

A: No, these only fit 718 GT4s, Spyder, GT4RS and Spyder RS models

Q: Will these fit with stock exhaust or similar boxed aftermarket exhausts?

A: No, these will only fit when cars with aftermarket exhausts with no lower chamber. Stock and Akrapovic are examples with known fitment interference issues. We cannot check all aftermarket exhausts for fitment. Please use best judgment or contact us for guidance

Any data to back up these claims?

CFD report will be coming soon, been having issues our software. Stay tuned. Rest assured good design principles have been applied. To be clear, we are restoring the aerodynamic properties of the factory muffler shape when it is removed in favor of an aftermarket exhaust. We will quantify any additional improvements beyond stock in the CFD report.

Not that I can use this with my aftermarket muffler, but is there a reason why you guys did not extend these pieces all the way out to the edges/sides of the diffuser? I see gaps on each side and am wondering if there is an aerodynamic or engineered reason for it.

The reason is to allow for adequate engine bay hot air extraction. There is another solution in the market that is a full width diffuser, so there are options for drivers to chose from.

How much do these diffusers weigh in total? Also why did you choose to plot downforce vs speed, wouldn't it be better to demonstrate how much increase (or loss) in downforce there is at any given speed? The graph tops out at 120kph which is much lower than than the speeds attained while tracking (presumably the people who care about this sort of thing)

Seems we missed that typo in review, the X-axis is speed and the Y-axis is downforce in lbs. We will revise the report today. The exact weight I’ll have to get, the box of both with all of the packaging is just under 5lbs.

Appreciate the update! I think it would also be nice/convenient to have another graph plotting the downforce/drag delta at various speeds. It is easier for people to work out how much this will affect them at their local tracks (or daily speeding)

Absolutely love this idea. I've been wanting to do something similar for 991 GT3 for owners who switch to center bypass systems and lose the bridge between the rear diffuser and rear bumper outlet that the oem center muffler provides. 10 degree angle is perfect for -L/D performance. Great work!
