OEM Porsche center console lid recently removed from my 981 GT4. I upgraded to the extended height / embossed lid.
Includes two parts - the lid and the mounting bracket.
$240+ shipping - or trade for something interesting.
Should fit the following models: - All 911 Carrera models 2013-2016
- 911 Turbo & GT3 models 2014-2016
- All Boxster models 2013-2016
- All Cayman models 2013-2016
I was just wondering how you like the extended console lid. Is the leather softer and does the extra height of an inch really help? I have been thinking about buying one with the Crest on it and just wanted to hear someone's else opinion. Is there anything you don't like about it?

It’s an upgrade for sure. The embossed logo is classy and the increased height helps for both my wallet and my phone to fit now. The leather feels about the same. The install was tricky until I realized it came with a modified spring to fit it better. Pulling out the rear carpet in my GT4 to access the hinge was a real bitch too.
…and the price sucks for the upgraded one which is why I was trying to offset the cost with selling my original one! Still for sale! Haha

My question is does it really help as far as leaning on it and feeling more comfortable with the added one inch while driving on the interstate or doesnt really matter that much?

My wife has a saying “men and their inches” and yes this 1-2 inch height increase is noticeable and more comfortable on the elbow in my driving position.
Meanwhile the OEM lid is not embossed and so some people may find that smooth leather more comfortable as the logo does add a little texture.
I just don't know. It's just hard for me to justify paying $549 from Suncoast and then shipping and taxes by then you're looking at $600! It would really have to look GREAT and do the job of feeling great while driving!
