Don't mix things up. This car IS desirable, people have comments on the price because for 20k more you get a 991.2 GT3 manual. 4WD or RWD depends on where you live. This can be a perfect driver in colder climate.
I have the RWD version of this, and I would take a manual NA over PDK any day. If you're comparing this with a Turbo, this isn't the car for you.

I have the same car. 4GTS 7MT. The AWD is not obtrusive at all, brings the car to a mid engine balance but you can still feel the rear 911 weight bias just enough to know your in a 911 without the snap oversteer on lift. Engine sounds epic and pulls all the at to redline. Last and most power NA flat six to go into a non GT car. This is the ultimate daily driver 911.

I’ve been considering selling for a 991.2 or 997.2 GT3 but it’s a tough choice considering the daily accessibility of the 4GTS.

OP has not posted in a few months. Did this car actually sell? I probably will be selling mine in the next month. '16 GTS 7spd carmine red w 18K miles. I can't imagine its worth $160 but maybe 120-125? Would love to know what I should ask. JSheen if you see this you could PM me. Thanks.

991.1 gts manuals are pretty rare. I don’t know exact production numbers but it almost seems like there are more GT cars out there than 911 GTS. The GT cars are still carrying quite a premium. I’d say if a similar mile gt3 is commanding 180k, your GTS is around 130k.

My guess your listing price of $120-$125 is a reasonable start. There are 3 2016 manual GTS coupes on Autotrader right now and 1 2015 GTS cab
- Silver/red with 24k miles, sport design package asking $150k. It's been for sale for a looooong time.
- White/black, 11k miles, sport design, ceramics $135k. (this one is my favorite)
- White/black 18k miles, 5 lugs, no heated seats $125k.
- The 2015 cab, 32k miles, $111k.

Here's my rough math. I had a 2015 GTS cab, 7 spd., mileage was 23k IIRC, nicely loaded with a MSRP of $154k. I sold it in the fall of 2019 for $96k. (yeah, bad timing before Covid). Most 2015 GTSs were around 95-100k and 2016s about $100-110k before covid IIRC. Assuming the average Covid 25% increase they were bumped up and selling for $120-$135k maybe a bit more for something super loaded but now the prices have softened - maybe 10% or more. IMO, I'd expect a listing price of $125k is probably reasonable and most would actually sell in the $115-$120k range depending on options/miles. Yes, the manual GTS is super rare but not as desirable as the GT cars. I love the 2015-2016 GTS and am starting to look at picking one up but I still think the prices will keep dropping on them. The 2017-2018 GTS can be easily found in the $125-$135 range. I know it's apples/oranges with the NA/turbo charged discussion but 1-2 years newer and more hp/tq for similar $ makes the 2016 not as attractive unless someone really wants the NA engine (which I can understand). Anyway, that my $0.02

^^Really appreciate the thoughts you guys and your analysis above MFank. I'd probably sell it for a little less than the max price if I thought it was going to a good home like a fellow Rennlister. I had a 2005 C2S before this car that I sold to a Rennlister in TX and we kept in touch for a long time. I guess we have totally highjacked JSheen's sale thread but it appears he is gone

I use auto tempest and on any given day, for the last 4 yrs, there have been fewer than 5 Manual .1GTS cars on all platforms combined.
made .1 4GTS or targa to the search and there are still less than 5-7 cars in the whole country at any given time. Even in those search results I often find 1-2 PDK cars mislabeled as Manual
i spend 8 months searching for mine, running a search morning lunch and before bed. Either the production numbers are very low ( some say around 20% of .1 C2 GTS were manual) or owners are keeping theirs.

Another reason I'm keeping my manual 991.1 Targa GTS forever..

There are 1200 ish 991.1 C2GTS, and less than 200 C4GTS, about half are manuals. Even without these production numbers, at the current market it's 50% of a 991 GT3 touring price, you get 80% of the GT3 touring experience. I would say price of these cars would be pretty stable at 50% discount of 991 GT3 Touring for a long time: I don't see any good .1 GTS manual ever drop under 100k - 130k.

couldnt agree more

That GT3 Touring analogy is SPOT ON and exactly the criteria I used when I decided against going all in on a GT3 Touring. For 50% of GT3 touring, .1 Manual C2 GTS is 80% the car.. well said

Yea I saw the ad and thought the price was crazy. I shouldn't talk smack about another person's ad I suppose. It's not "high spec" given the sticker was $143,690. Nice car, but to ask over sticker even in December was very hopeful. I just bought a CPO C4 GTS coupe with factory ducktail, PDK, 16k miles for $114k. I really dig the awd and have a 997.2 GT3 for weekend fun. Second awd Porsche I've owned and it is really bad-***.

True a 991.2 would have so much more torque down low but I enjoy keeping the engine on the pipe when I'm having fun. It's plenty of power for me. All I need. If I want torque my Alfa has gobs.

This is a very helpful thread. I recently started my search for a 2015-2016 manual GTS. It will be my first 911. As such I am new to Rennlist and don't have the privilege to DM yet. But I am interested in hearing more about your car if you think you will be selling it. Many thanks, Jason
