For Sale: 991.1 Porsche 911 Taillights (Red)
For SaleLights
Description:
Hi all - selling a set of 991.1 taillights in red, and in very good condition. No apparent broken tabs.
When I bought my 2013 Carrera S (now sold), the car had clear taillights, but the seller included these red taillights. As I understand it - the red lights were taken off the car when the original owner had it, so these lights have had <5K miles on them. Full disclosure: the car was involved in a minor accident in 2014 (I don't have pictures), but was told <$1K in repair costs.
I've never installed them, so I don't know if they work. Happy to provide a full refund within 14 days if they do not work.
I think these are ~$700 each from Suncoast; asking $400 for the set. In light of the uncertain working order, I'd prefer a local (SF Bay Area) sale.
Best regards,
-Darryl
The issue with your version of rear light assemblies are the flimsy plastic tabs that the metal plate is mounted to on the rear part of the assembly, which breaks, and the tail light ends up dangling by the wiring harness, beating up the rear bumper. This issue ends up happenging based on the installation of the light assembly being "adjusted" properly when the rear bumper has to be removed for simple thinks like the air intake filters. So your's could be cracked even with the stated low mileage. Porshe did an update to the design, but your headlights are of the old design. The new design has a visible metal clamp installed.
I'd almost be inclined to purchase the newer design for $700 each, given that my rear light did more than $2500 of damage to the bumper.
Are these still available? Would you be willing to ship to SoCal and is $400 firm?
Thanks
Michael
