Thanks for the compliment.

Bolster protectors and inserts were sourced from https://www.edguardusa.com/. Ed is absolutely the best to work with. He found the perfect match (leather and thread combo) for these seats. The wool houndstooth with beige accent was also sourced from overseas for this project.

For the shift **** I commissioned a bespoke **** that would compliment this 1 of 1 interior. We went back and forth on material, engraving, size, shape and anodizing for a perfect addition to this car. It is a small shop that produces quality work. Guys name is Manuel Campuzano. He can be reached directly at porsche356sport@yahoo.com . Do a search on these forums with search word "Manuel Campuzano" and you can see some of the other ***** he has worked on.

All original equipment conveys with the sale of the vehicle. (eg Alacantara black seat inserts and sand beige shift ****)

If anyone is in the market for a meticulously cared for extremely rare Spyder this in the one!

The owner is one of the most detailed enthusiast and spares no expense on maintaining and tastefully upgrading his vehicles!

Truly one of a kind and buy with confidence!

Best of luck and hope it goes to a great new home!

I went and inspected this car last night and figured I would share my thoughts/findings with the Rennlist family. In the interest of full disclosure the owner is a client of mine and these observations are my opinions/experience and IMO a serious buyer should still employ the use of an independent inspection.

Overall the car is truly magnificent, likely as close to a "new" 987.2 Spyder as one would hope to find. A few notable items:
  • Over-Rev- I ran a report last night: Range 1-2,873 last at 39.42 hours. Range 2- 17 last at 14.23 hours. No Range 3 or higher. Total operating hours 98.07. KM in DME 2,885 (1,789 miles).
  • No meaningful fault codes stored, a few errant voltage faults which is common on cars with limited usage. The battery is dated 6/17 so a new battery might be on the horizon soon.
  • The car is due for service due to time. The 4 year/40 (big service with all fluids and plugs was done 7/8/18) at 960 miles. "Technically" it is due again for that service in a month, personally I would probably just do the oil service and brake fluid flush.
  • Tires are date-stamped in 2016 and 2017, zero evidence of wear or degradation. Michelin's official standard is 10 years, everyone can form their own views on this.
  • The front black bumper splitters have some scuffing on the bottoms, no scuffing whatsoever on the bottom or the bumper or painted areas.
  • No history or window sticker from prior to 2018 (960 miles).
  • Paint meters as original
  • Front bumper was drilled for a plate when new (4 holes) which have bumper plugs in them.
  • There is some very light oxidation on the engine case (small white spots) that is common to cars that have lived in more humid/salt air type environments (Florida in this cars case) however the chassis is otherwise spotless, it could easily be shown at a National level type Porsche concourse and be VERY competitive as it sits.
  • The car comes complete with every removed part neatly boxed and packaged.
As many who know me understand, I am extremely compulsive as is the current owner. I would be proud to have this car in my collection. I hope it goes to an appreciative home!

Thank you Nathan1. I appreciate your objective comments on this special 987.2 Spyder. Living with OCD has its challenges and benefits...

Hopefully everyone from the rennlist community has seen your comparison between the 987 and 981 Spyders. It was VERY WELL done.

Such a beauty. I’m sure I’ll regret passing on it later. Pretty close to the perfect spec Spyder for me.
