Description:
Selling my beloved 2018 718 Boxster GTS in gorgeous chalk color. I just got a GT3 and my garage (and wife) tell me something has to go. This car is perfectly prepped for both the road and the track. He has received over $25,000 in excellent track modifications to make him a little beast on track, but also fun as heck as a daily driver. It comes with three wheel sets (summer, winter and track) and a ton of extra track equipment, as described below.
Car is under warranty until December 2022. All regular service performed at Porsche dealer, except track prep below (and some Motul oil and high temp brake flushes at speciality shop).
I am the only owner of this car. It was principally used as my daily driver and then last year (2021) I decided to go down the rabbit hole of track modifications.
Track modifications and additions:
At a high level, I added high-quality, track-worthy brakes, suspension, sway bars, and adjustable control arms so that camber can be dialed in above the -1.5 degree factory limits (see my set-up sheet in photos).
I have also added the APR 93 octane tune with improves the maximum horsepower from 365HP to 440HP! This car is quick: it can keep up with (some!) GT3's!
All the work was recommended and performed by one of Chicagoland’s premier track and racing shops, Chicago Performance and Tuning (Al Ucinski). We did not skimp on anything. This car is seriously fast, and incredibly balanced and stable. The AP Racing braking kit and the Ohlins Road and Track suspension are outrageous and significant improvements over stock. Because I also wanted to drive the car on the streets, the Ohlins suspension is adjustable to soften for the street and the sway bars can be further “loosened.” Moreover, I have every OEM part, so it can be returned to stock condition (but that would make me — and you — sad.)
I include photos of the invoices for the work performed. All the new parts were used on only about 6 track days last year and a 1/2 day this year. So, everything is lightly used.
I think the car is a steal at this price, given all the high quality parts added (and this crazy marketplace). I have priced it this way because I do not want to have to show it a bunch of times nor haggle on pricing. Let’s see if the market agrees….
Stock car came with (see photo):
- PDK
- PASM sports suspension
- Sports chrono package
- Premium Bose Sound
- Leather interior
- Navigation
- Adaptive 18-way sports seats plus
- Stock wheels with Michelin Pilots (summer), lightly used
- Winter set of tires with Michelin Alpins (winter), lightly used
- APEX track tires (see photo) with barely used set of Goodyear Supereagle F1 tires
- AP Racing front and rear kit ($9,200 - see invoice for details)
- Brand new sets of Ferodo D3.12 track pads (~$850) and barely used Ferodo street pads
- Ohlins Road and Track adjustable Road and Track suspension ($3,700)
- Tarett lower control arm kit, camber plates, and toe and drop links for full camber adjustments, and sway bars ($7,200) (see invoice for details)
- Front protective film cover over front and mirrors
- APR 93 Octane tune ($1,200)
- Original PASM Porsche Suspension
- Original Porsche brakes and rotors etc
- Original control arms
- Cosmetic defects: There is an approximately .25 inch diameter star on the lower driver side windshield from a rock strike. I had a windshield repairer “fill” and seal the hole and it has not spread in 18 months. There are also a couple minor pebble strike dings on lower front grill and on hood. See photos.
- Two weeks after purchasing car it was rear-ended by a dang Uber driver. I had the rear bumper replaced. The work was done by the only Porsche certified body shop in Chicago Northshore Auto Rebuilders (they are great) and I was so paranoid that I had them 3-D image the back end to make sure nothing structural was affected (it wasn’t). In addition, I have since changed the back suspension anyway. But it will show in Carfax report? Happy to discuss further. See photos — it looks perfect.

Of course, it would not be going for this price if it was a manual 4.0.
