Description:

One-of-a-kind Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. This car has been meticulously maintained at Porsche of San Diego. Tasteful upgrades including diamond-stitched interior mats and a 12.3 inch Tesla-inspired navigation unit that includes Apple Car Play, Waze, Spotify, Wi-Fi and Google apps. This Cayenne Turbo S has the performance of a Carrera Turbo and the reliability of a brand new unit. It also has the rare carbon fiber grab handles & interior details. Porsche SD asked to purchase it from me as CPO on 4/21. Recent maintenance includes:

11/21 - 60k mile maintenance including a new PDCC reservoir, engine tune-up and new battery
8/21 - Brand new OEM transmission from Germany installed by Porsche under warranty

4/21 - Brand new brakes on all 4 wheels including rotors and pads
4-6/21 - new tires on all 4 wheels

1/19 - AC recharge
11/17 - transfer case replaced due to factory recall.

In total, over $21,000 in maintenance has been completed in the last 12 months to keep this pristine Porsche in peak performance. No expense has been

I recently took a 100% remote job so I barely have the need to drive this car anymore. In fact, I've only put on 4k miles in the last 14 months. I am looking for someone who will enjoy regularly driving this car.

Few questions, why the 957 wheels. What happened to the original wheels?

Can you post up pictures of the undercarriage and the seat wear, driver's side?

Also, do you have the factory headhunt?

Now to the important stuff. Both the wheels and the steering wheel have been changed. I don't want to assume but it looks like wheels were damaged and the airbag went off to any normal person. That steering wheel is not from a cayenne. In addition the vin states that this car came with the sport steering wheel and this steering wheel is not that either. Can you explain why the stock parts are not on the car? Can you also state if this car has ever been in an accident, had any body work or any paintwork?

If all checks out I have an interested party in Dana Point who is ready to buy.

Hello,
Thank you for your questions. I am currently out of town, but have added some photos from my camera roll. I can add more when I am back. I have the factory head unit.

Regarding the steering wheel and rims: the only modifications I have made I mentioned in the description with the navigation and floor mats. The previous owner bought this car for his wife and she had made a few modifications to suit her taste before ultimately turning it back in to Porsche of Newport Beach because she felt it was too fast for her. I bought the car from Porsche Newport Beach as a CPO in 2017. It came as is with the wheels and steering wheel. Porsche never mentioned anything to me regarding the steering wheel but they did say the rims were requested by the owner and they personally did the powder coating to body color.

The car has never been in an accident that I am aware of. I did have a piece of wood fall off a flat bed truck 2 years ago and hit my right lower fog light. I had this replaced by a well respected body shop in SD and inspected by Porsche afterwards.

Pristine? The cargo area is a mess and the wheels have hugged some curbs.

Does the factory head unit function?

The factory head unit is at your moms house. Ask her how it functions.

Wow. I didn't know you could buy a Stripper Turbo S, I don't feel so bad only having a Turbo.
No Adaptive cruise, no sport +, no dual-mode exhaust, basic 14-way leather seats, no Burmeister, no-CD changer, no Panno roof, and no vented seats (heat only).
Shouldn't that have a
hill descent control button in the terrain switch? It's got a trailer hitch. (dunno)
Here's a couple of nice options - QJ4 Exterior Package in Black (High-Gloss)... well, that's gone now. (note to self... Gosh, whoever painted that sure liked white!)

9JA, Non-smoker package, but I see a cigarette lighter, bonus if you smoke... I guess.
I'm sure the carpet is mint under that brand new diamond stuff, so that's a plus.

Good mileage history, looks fine to me.
$161,000 MSRP, I would have driven it a ton more, but I digress... maybe the lack of options bugged the other two owners.
You put as many miles on it as those other two guys combined! (I would have too!) and you bought it for more than half off! Sweet!
You got stuck putting tires on it though... twice.
Ugh, I just looked at the trade-in value, no wonder you didn't take the dealer's offer! I wouldn't want to take half of what I paid 5 years ago either! Especially not in today's market.
So what if you put 34,000 miles on it since 2017, and was over $70,000 at the time... that was then, this is now!
Covid Pricing Baby!
GLWS!

I was just thinking, we used to have a shady Muscle Car dealer around here that was notorious for doing stuff like taking off Tri-Power carbs and throwing on a qudra-jet, pulling GN Transmissions, and putting one back in it from a standard V6 regal, V8 Manual transmissions from F Bodies and installing a 4 or 5 speed from a V6 car.
I've heard stories about 1st Gen Z28 rear ends being swapped, entire engines being changed (so they could sell it back to someone down the road to make a 'numbers matching car' It's just unbelievable how shady they were.
I mean, it was such common knowledge around here I don't know how they stayed in business so long.
They got me for a 1989 Turbo Trans AM Transmission back in 2000. There are only 1500 of that Valve body (TTF code, and the corresponding electronic Speedo control) No spares exist, and let's just say I got my parts back, but again, I digress.
I bet those Turbo II wheels could pull an easy 3k with new tires, the radio is worth about $800 on eBay since it had Nav, at least 2k but probably much more for a low mile trans out of a Turbo (4.8 and 4.8 Turbo transmissions are different part numbers BTW)
I bet you could have EASILY striped 5k net in value out of that specific car if you were of such a mind to do it.
But, This guy seems honest, I'm 100% sure this one is fine

Ok, may I ask. few more questions?

1. Can you post up all the maintenance paperwork. Would love to see how everything transpired on the car, including the transmission replacement and the transfer case and air conditioning.

2. Do you have the OEM head unit?

3. Stating that no expense has been spared but the vehicle has lost every steering wheel function with the install of a standard 911 Carrera automatic or PDK steering wheel. There are so many functions on the Cayenne wheel, nobody in their right mind would ever change that out. That move is done by some shady body shop trying to get a car back to square one with the least amount of money possible. Those wheels fit that same MO so work orders and a paper trail would be great to put perspective buyers at ease. Can you post up?

4. You're stating that San Diego Porsche wanted to buy the car from you last April? You mentioned that they wanted to purchase from you as CPO. Porsche doesn't usually purchase CPO's, or they don't use that terminology, they sell cars that they CPO. Don't know why that's even in the ad but no worries.

2. I have the OEM head unit but it’s parts only. Let me know if that is a deal breaker.

3. I bought the car CPO with the wheels and steering wheel as is from Newport Beach. I do not have any info in writing about how the car arrived at that point other than what Porsche told me regarding the painting of the rims.

4. I spoke to the internet sales manager at SD and he said he wanted to purchase it to sell as CPO. He sent me an offer on email after we talked.

Got it, thanks! I saw your threads regarding your PCM drive failing. I guess you switched it out to that unit.
