Porsche 911 2014 - 2016
Description:

I have a cobb tuner with PDK that I bought last year for '14 991.1 TTS.https://www.cobbtuning.com/products/...he-991-1-turbo It has a custom tune on it from Sam Ahdoot for the car I just sold, although you'd have to contact Sam to check its applicability as the only mod to my car was a header to tips hi-flow cat exhaust, which is also for sale in a separate listing.
I paid $2995+tax (not including the custom tune from Sam) will sell for $1500 includes shipping

Someone asked me to confirm it is unmarried. As the car is gone the Cobb website says you can plug into any OBD and if it show the install screen it is unmarried. I have added the info from the cobb site & post a pic off a video I made but couldn't post the video of me checking this out & confirming which I assume is site based. I'm not sure the forum rules but if you PM me I will email the video.

I believe if it is unmarried, there is no cost to transfer to another car.

You may be right but COBB tech support told me $150 & included message from them. To be safe I amend to it will cost somewhere from $0-150.

If it is the same category of car (based upon Cobb part number) and it is unmarried, there is no cost and the unit can be used straight away. If it is to migrate the Cobb to a different model number, it is $150 plus the cost differential, if any, between the list price of the two Cobb models (if new model is more expensive). Plus, you have to ship the unit to Cobb, at your cost, and pay for the return shipping.

If it's unmarried, it'll install on another 991.1 Turbo without cost or shipment to Cobb. If it's married Cobb will charge you to unmarry it, or like others have stated, make it compatible with another model. Great price, I think I paid $1700 for mine! GLWS

If it is married, they would charge you for the whole cost of the unit, I believe. Otherwise, people would marry the unit to a car, then just send it back to Cobb to be unmarried so that it can be used on another car.

When I sent my unit to Cobb, it was simply to change model number. The unit was unmarried. $150 plus shipping, as the new model number was less expensive than the original one.

Re-license (unmarry) is 70% of retail cost, change model number is $150 https://www.cobbtuning.com/buying-a-used-accessport/ . Point is, if it's un-married it'll work on a 991.1 Turbo/S without additional cost..

You're right on the 70% married charge; I stand corrected.

Would you take $1000 for the cobb?

The short answer is no. It’s an item that has been used 4X, once to load the stage 2 & PDK TUNE, once to load the tune I bought from Sam, once to unmarry it from the car before I gave it to the dealer who bought it & today to take a video confirming it is unmarried. 1/2 price plus no sales tax plus shipping on my nickel is a very fair deal.
