There are a few states (looking at you Nevada, for one) where buying a used car from an individual seller means you pay zero sales tax upon registration. Selling it yourself without the dealer would incentivize someone in one of those states to give you near your full ask. Just a quibble, but throwing it out there.

Thanks for the input. To clarify, this sale does not necessarily have to go through a Dealer- happy to transact without. Also, regardless of where a prospective purchaser lives if I work through a Dealer and apply my car as a trade towards another purchase then I reduce or eliminate sales tax (provided the Dealer has a car that I want).

Best,

G.

I think recent transactions on BaT and other platforms show the market is softening. Ask prices need to be reevaluated if there is a real desire to actually sell.

This example has been for sale for quite a long time, for which I have no idea why...the price seems right. What am I missing?

Thanks for your comments. You are not missing anything- amazing car- I have held very firm on the price.

I would argue the 991.2 touring market is as strong as ever.

I'd really appreciate if you did not comment on my listing. You might have been having a little fun with Gucko (since his car is also Carmine Red) but not everyone would pick up on that. If you are expressing an opinion, I think you have been told before that it is inappropriate to comment in a detractive manner directly on other Members' Marketplace listings (this is not the Tech forum)- particularly so with subjective input that has no basis other than your likes or dislikes. In fact, I believe a previous post of yours was removed by Admin on this very thread for this very reason.

As an aside, please see the link below which actually has (real) data about Porsche color preferences. Note how the "reds," including Carmine, are represented on this list.

Thanking you in advance,

G.

Agreed. The data would suggest as much:

https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/91...2/gt3/touring/

I think it is more the listings trying to elevate the ceiling of the market- with cars that have significant miles or skinny build sheets- that will normalize. I am getting plenty of inbound on my car and will transact when the price and time is right- no rush at all. And if prices do go down $10K or $20K it is not going to change my life. In the interim, I have a great car with more upside than down IMO short/mid/long term. I have it on good authority that they are not making the 991.2 GT3Ts any longer.

Best,

G.

I simply love the black door handles ... it is a little touch but it works so well on your car ... stunning car
