NEW Porsche 993 Bi-LED Headlight Upgrade
For Sale
I can’t speak to the output of these lights but Francois made a set for my 91 964 and the difference vs stock is absurd. The amount of light I have now is on par with a modern car and I had two flickering candles up front before. Great product , excellent communication.
As an aside, the shine on that Arena Red coupe in your advertisement looks terrific.
1. I want to understand which of your various offerings provides the best downroad illumination. My guess would be the all chrome version
, but that may not be the case.
2. What is the purpose of the flutting in the lens? Is that just for esthetics, or does it have an impact on the downroad illumination pattern?
3. Does the halo surround light have any negative impact on the headlight downroad illumination? My guess is that since it is inside the bezel, it has to obstruct the primary headlight illumination at the edges. Also, is the halo wired such that it is normally white, but turns yellow when the turn signal is activated?
4. I normally drive with the headlights on with engine start, regardless of ambient lighting. I'm a true believer that the additional brightness and broader area covered provide increased safety, making the car more noticable. That being the case, the halo light would not normally be "on", and that option would not make much sense for my car.

1. All version provide the same lighting performance because it is produced by Bi-LED projectors and the reflectors do not have an impact of the light beam.
2. The Custom Fluted lens on the 993 headligth is esthetic and has no impact on the pattern.
3. We did not have any feedback for our customer regarding the impact of the LED surround on the projector lighting performance. The halo has a switchback mechanism between the white and amber colors, you connect the white to the parking light and the amber to the turn signal. Please refer the the installation instructions on the website.
4. You can wire the LED Halo in another way from the installation instructions if you want to activate it differently.
Thanks for your questions.
Just installed the black reflector model in my Midnight Blue ‘96. Haven’t been outside to aim yet but in the garage comparison looks like they’ll be awesome and, in my mind anyway, a great aesthetic improvement over stock. The level of service involvement brings hope to this post covid world as well.
Would love to see some pics Steve of before / after in on / off. Also trying to figure out which design to get that preserves the original look and matches the otherwise stock style of my C2S (i.e. I think the quad LED 992 style ones wouldn't really fit the aesthetic of 993 unless you were going full guntherwerk style modding the backlights and fog lights too)
I too would love to see some pics....while I am happy with the Retro-Quik Morimoto upgrade I did I am always tinkering and seems like long term there is less to go wrong with these. Plus I think the simple all black option of these looks great.
