Really attractive car, very nice and I prefer the look of the centrelocks, especially on the 991 GTS as it's really just a trim option compared to the 997 which was quite unique. Way beyond my budget and I really want a NA engine but if you're shopping in this price bracket ....... damn this is hard to walk past.

I agree with the forum that it is a great build, especially the PTS, but am I wrong that it won't pass smog testing?
Would you be willing to get it smog certified even though it's not due yet? Lo
Obviously for most out-of-state sellers it's not an issue.
Thanks, Tom
Tom - thanks for the post and interest.

I am happy to get a smog done with a deposit on the buyers end.

Thanks all for the interest, offers, and PM.

I want to clarify a something as it relates to the GIAC Tune and the CPO Warranty.

There is question as related the CPO warranty is now voided.

Legally Porsche cannot void an entire warranty that was purchased. What Porsche can do is not approve certain warranty work if they deem that something not covered by their factory warranty caused the damage. For example, if something went wrong with the PCM, that is covered by the CPO, and it has nothing to do with any ECU Tune....covered under CPO Provisions

Same thing goes with the AC compressor, that has nothing to do with the ECU mapping and turbos....covered under CPO Provisions.

Let's use this example. If you have a 100% stock car, and Porsche uncovered that the user purposely caused a catastrophic engine failure. They have liberty to not approve a claim.

It's clear that some of you are uncertain about the ECU Tune. This is an easy solution, all that is required is the ECU be re-flashed, just as they do at the dealer for all PCM issues that arise. This puts the car back to OEM.

I will state that I have not redlined the car since the ECU tune....so the history will show normal driving and cruises down Pacific Coast Highway.

The only problem with flashing the car back to stock is that the dealer will be able to tell that the vehicle had been flashed before.
