I bought the car in August 2018 from a guy on FerrariChat who owned the car for 12 years. He sold it because he bought a Ferrari 599 (front engine V12). The reason I went for this particular car is because the previous owner was a true enthusiast who maintained the car properly and did some great upgrades. I have maintenance records going back to 2003 when the car had 3,500 miles on it.
Responding to a couple of above requests about Euro car. Ferrari 360 Spiders were offered in very limited numbers in the US in the first couple years of production so many people resorted to importing them and upgrading them to US safety and emissions specs (gray market cars). In fact, there were famous lawsuits between Ferrari and a couple of the larger conversion shops. Ferrari lost those lawsuits.
The Carfax (available on http://ferrari360spider.com) shows this car was imported into the US in August 2001 and was declared US road legal in October 2001. In mid-November 2001, the car had 2,364 miles on it so I assume it was imported when essentially brand new.
This Euro car has headlight washers and the A/C temperature **** is in degrees celsius. Other than that, I don't think there are any visible differences. The speedo and odometer are in miles.
Do you know why it was imported from EU?
I am in FL East Coast and I was just there last week.
I replied above with more details on the Euro conversion.
Only a short drive back across the peninsula to check out the car.
Or give me a call. I can also do FaceTime or Facebook Messenger to give you a remote view.
is this is N/A Spec car that was sent to Europe and then sent back?
Based on the Carfax, this car was imported when new in 2001, converted to US specs, then spent the rest of its life in the US.
Part of the US federalization process includes adding the amber side markers to the bumpers.
