I bought direct from CAE and it was a good experience.

These are very hard to find used. I had a set for sale (CAE shifter with Numeric cables) and sold them easily.

The Numeric cables are excellent. Many think they are more robust than the CAE cables. The CAE shifter is fantastic.

Great thanks guys. What did yall do to finish the console portion? Don't have carbon fiber so not sure what route to take to make the install look clean.

I considered the CAE but found they are very expensive and somewhat tough to source. I decided to go with a Numeric Shifter and cables. These are made in USA so service is much better. These are very popular with Porsche race cars. You can buy a complete set up for about $1100 which is 1/3 less that just the CAE shifter. The CAE does have the reverse lock out but that is not that important to me. I have a coupon code which I can PM if you are interested.

Wasn't hard to source for me...ordered from CAE and had in hand very quickly. Expensive, Yeah...cost me $1376. Pay to play.

I've had both in my car. Numeric is best for a street car. CAE is best on track. CAE is well worth the money...

I had the Numeric cable for my 1000+ hp 996 tt before and it was okay shifting got shortened and re assuring then I switched to CAE and enjoying it esp from 2nd to 3rd to 4th it just clicks right in, amazing and worth the money!

Bought shifter, cables and trim piece from alpine003. I'll leave this thread open to update for a little longer. Thanks to all chimed in on the shifter discussion.

Perhaps a long shot but if anyone has an official CAE trim piece for sale, I would be interested. Thanks.
