Considering switching from a 997TT to a Macan...weird, I know.

I had the similar situation. Was driving my beloved 997.2 TT to work on nice days but others in a Jeep GC. Traded the Jeep for a black 2017 Macan S with Prem + and Car Connect. MSRP 62 k. Great decision.

Macan S and 997 TTS
As the owner of a 2012 997 Turbo S, 1987 930 and now a 2018 Macan S, I love driving the Macan S. The two Turbos are a hoot to drive, but the convenience of the Macan, including ingress/egress for an old coot, modern conveniences like ventilated seats, great sound system, etc., all add to a car that is a blast to drive, even aggressively. Add to that minimal worries about road conditions, entry levels for driveways, etc., and the Macan is a winner in my book. Too bad it's my wife's DD.

We've got a 997TT, a 991.2 GTS & a Macan Turbo. The Macan is my daily driver & the 991.2 is the Hubster's. The 997 is a garage queen & the tool around weekend car. They're all fantastic vehicles, but the Macan is definitely the most versatile of the three.
It just came back from the mechanic's yesterday. He installed H&R springs on it. I also have a Cobb tune & Remus exhaust on it. It was nice before, but I really enjoy driving it now & find that I'm not that envious of not having either of the 911s as a daily driver. It's fast, responsive & easy to toss groceries, dogs, kid & almost anything else into.
I expect you'll be happy with a Macan. After all, it's still a Porsche.

I bought a new Macan S last year. I was driving the Macan way more than my 991C2S. I recently sold my 991 and now have a Macan Turbo Performance Pack on order. Loved my 911, but the Macan is just easier more usable. I’m assuming the Macan Turbo PP will fulfill my speed needs.

To the OP, I'm not sure the Macan is large enough to be the replacement for a pick-up, that's probably the Cayenne without the "just hose out the bed" convenience, but if you're looking for a 911 that someone put on the copier and hit the enlarge button, I think the Macan in one of the sportier trims (GTS or Turbo) is probably a good fit. As our kids have grown to the point where my wife's 997 C2S isn't the ideal DD for her anymore, we're probably going to go down the Macan path ourselves in the next year.
By the way, Liste-Renn, great video.

I owned a 993 C4S for a few years around 2000 and loved the car and its performance, yet found it very limited in its practicality.
The MT brings me back to the marque and provides both performance and practicality/versatility, as well as an upgraded: engine, interior, electronics, etc.
And, it gets significantly better mileage then the 993!
I can also drive it year 'round.
Woo-hoo!!!
