Default Macan Reliability ???

So I am selling my BMW 650 because its so unreliable.. got it 2 months ago already been in the shop 3 times. I read that porsche are very reliable but whats known is theyre garage cars and not daily drivers. I drive around 30-40 miles a day on average, is porsche right for me? Any complains you guys have about the car breaking down or whatever?
Thanks in advance.

We were serious BMW types for over 25 years and, over that period, owned everything from a 2002 to a number of M5's. JMHO, but they got so far away from their original concept, so bulbous and butt-ugly, we came back to Porsche. You don't indicate what your prerequisites are in a vehicle, so I can't say that a Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, Cayman, Boxster or 991 would be best for you. If we had to get along with just one vehicle, the Macan would do just fine. Go try 'em out. You'll be glad you did.

Dead reliable if you asked me. These cars are made to be driven so you as you put more miles on, you should expect regular maintanance and nothing else.

The Macan fits me greatly I like the size and I love Crossover SUV's ..my only thing is I just wish the car wont break down on me alot of give me lot of headache but from what ive been reading, porsche are very very very reliable.. makes me wonder why did I have such a bad image in my head about them for all those years.

I've had my '15 Macan S for 23 months, it has 23,000 miles on it. I've only taken it back to the dearler for the scheduled services. No other issues at all.

I think the Macan is too new to tell about reliability but a lot of people who have them in our club seem to be happy. Can't say the same about BMW, me included. The last BMW I owned was over a decade ago and it was the worst car experience we have ever had. Looks like things haven't changed much since then. My neighbor is brand loyal to BMW and lets just say we see the flat bed truck over there quite often.

7 1/2 years with my M3 and NO nuisance dealer visits. $300 for a failed LED cluster and $950 for an AC repair that was $4,000 but BMW NA covered it despite the car being over 7 years old at the time. One fluid leak fixed during warranty period.

One of the reasons we just bought our Macan GTS was the rock solid reliability of our Cayenne.

5 years and 200,000 km with nothing but smiles per miles

Sounds like you have a problem with who is servicing your car if it is going back for the same issue. Tree initial service events is not enough data to draw a conclusion about the reliability of a car.

The JD Power review for the 2015 Macan has it scoring perfectly in every category where they have enough info to rate. Obviously no Macans have been out there long enough yet for a 3-year rating, but the prognosis is very good.
