Oil Choice for Macan S

Oil Choice for Macan S
Have had our 2016 Macan S for about two weeks now.
I is a PCNA Rep vehicle. Dealer changed oil at 8500 miles before we took delivery.
I got the repair ticket copy and now questioned the oil brand. They used Pennzoil Full synthetic.
A friend with a Cayenne said it is not the right oil. It should be Mobil 1 formula for European market, specified by Porsche.
What is right? Dealer said Pennz is considered suitable by Porsche.

You need better friends.
Penzoil is an approved A40 Porsche oil. As are over 200 more on the list.
Many dealerships use Penzoil because it's less $ than Mobil.
I'd suggest Mobil 5W50. Porsche approved and more robust than M1 0W40. You'll have to hand deliver, as most all dealerships do not stock this product. That's what I use, and do.

I suppose you have to trust a Porsche Dealer Svc Dept to use an approved or acceptable oil. Right??

-25C is -13F so if you will be operating your vehicle in that cold you should have 0w-40 oil in the engine. 5w-50 or even 5w-40 won't cut it.
