I bought a Macan S last week after driving the GTS on the track at a dealer event. The Macan S is no GTS- the GTS is just that much better. It could for me substitute for a sports car

But for a 911? There is no substitute.

i nearly got sapphire blue on my wife's turbo. but the incoming GT4 was already sapphire blue so i got white instead.

but on a GTS my favorite color is carmine red (not available when i bought mine) - so an emphatic yes on bright colors.
