Pano roof
Was fortunate to have a demo ride with a skilled driver in a Macan Turbo with the pano roof. We exited a 180 degree exit ramp at 81 MPH (suggested speed 40 mph) with no feeling of risk. Truly an impressive SUV. Maybe if it did not have Pano it might have gone 91MPH BUT NOT WITH ME IN IT.

I do not believe that anyone will be able to notice the difference in handling characteristics with or without the Pano roof, except for maybe on a full scale race track. The only difference with the Pano roof is with the rear seat headroom, and if you don't have tall passengers, I would order the Pano roof.

I dig my Pano. I like the light that comes in, the ability to open it up etc... I guess I am fortunate enough too to have another car for really driving hard so I'm not really too worried about weight up high in the Macan. I think it's also like Nav - a selling feature for if or when you go to sell the car.
P.s. That's great to hear about the exit speed in the Turbo! I find that all my sport car Porsches have been able double the exit speed notice but a CUV? Awesome. 20" or 21" wheels?

I have a 2015 Macan Turbo with the pano roof. Handling is awesome and the car is a blast to drive. Pano roof is great and lets in lots of light. I am 6' 2" and have not noticed any headroom issues (although I rarely sit in the back seat).

I love the fact that I can order my Macan without the Pano. We will not get it. We special ordered our Q5 without it. I'm not a fan. And I have a true cabriolet to get a full open air experience.

Love the Pano roof. Did not think I would like it, but my deal on a leftover MY2015 was so good that I could not refuse the deal offered. I don't use the screen and almost always leave the roof tilted up, even in the rain. It's remarkably quiet that way, even at Interstate speeds. Nice when parking in the sun too. Tint is good enough that there is never too much sunlight coming in, even without using the screen. It's really well designed and everybody that rides in it compliments it. My Macan Turbo has no noticeable difference in handling with it. But I'm not going to be tracking it either.

Pano most definitely affects handling. It's basic physics. Significant extra weight i.e. 60-100 kg at the very highest point of the vehicle will alter the vehicle's centre of gravity. How much of a difference it makes is a different question. I could do without the pano in my Macan easily. I hardly ever use it, though I agree that it makes the cabin feel more open.

Most definitely will effect resale far more than what it cost to buy that option! Good luck selling it when the time comes if you don't have the panoramic roof!!

Would not expect any return on cost of pano roof. Would expect some buyers down the road to say no, I wanted a pano just like other perceived critical options that can kill a deal. Not sure what % have pano but would guess it is high hence a "story" on those that don't.
