Bad idea?

I'll get the extended but the more I read I think I should just turn it over every 100K.

Depends on what's on your build. If you get AS, for example, then it will cost $$. A good local Indy shop specializing in German autos (Golz Motors in Deerfield) is a place to consider when out of warranty.
