Default Rear washer leak

I just picked up a Macan S. The rear washer jet seems to have a leak. It releases a little fluid every once in a while resulting in a dirty rear window.

Wondering if anyone else has this?

Most of them have this issue, there are loads of owners on Macanforum.com which are reporting this, nearly every single person. There has not be a fix issued yet.

@Jeffdehr: Good excuse to drive that nice cab until they come up with a fix.

I claim every single Macan has this problem, just some owners didn't notice yet or bother with it. I had mine replaced already with a new nozzle from Germany, same problem a week later thus it is a design issue.

BTW, if you search the VW forums, this is an occurring problem on VAG cars.

I think I'll put a clamp on the supply hose until they come up with a solution that works. We get enough rain here that I don't need a rear washer.

I never need a rear washer EVER. Tried to get it deleted on my custom build but i couldn't cause the trunk button is on the base of the washer.

Surely there is access to the tubing somewhere before the base of the washer. I believe it comes from the reservoir in the engine bay that is used by the windshield washers. I'm going to look for it, but if someone else already knows a good access point, I hope they share it.

Yes, this is common in the Touareg. Happens more in warmer weather when the reservoir is near full.

Does draining the fluid so the reservoir is not full solve the problem?

I'd rather drive around with 1/2 a tank of windshield washer fluid in the plastic tank than have it constantly drip down the rear.

Not sure. There's a bunch of info over on ClubTouareg. Good info there. Only affects the current Touareg (and I suspect the current Cayenne, too).

old persistent problem.
Happened as early as my first 04 Cayenne, briefly in my 08 CTT, now in my Macan.
interestingly, the problem seems to always disappear after some time. Maybe the theory of less fluid in reservoir makes sense...
