Lots of factors but i'm going to guess smaller turbo and detuned. Here's hoping that a simple reflash will be worth 60hp

According to a recent article I read in Panorama, Porsche decided to use the 3.6 for reasons of greater inherent torque and longer durability/life instead of stressing the Macan S 3.0 to produce 400 hp for the Macan Turbo. Plus, everybody knows that the 3.6 is perfectly positioned to easily generate 500 hp, and more, when the time comes!

its all in the overall tune and open throttle mapping. Porsche and very often Mercedes 100% deliberately limits throttle opening and tuning to sequence out all the power at different levels given the price points of the cars.

Mercedes V8 6.3liter engines were installed all across the product line several years ago. From the big SLS 4 door coupe to the C class 2 door................Mercedes C class $65,00 was way down on power everywhere despite the same big V8 engine.............eventually the power was restored to even and even advanced over the $125,000 SLS 6.3 car vehicle.

Ultimately, the new Porsche Twin Turbo engines as installed all across their chassis will be able to be tuned for more power and with HJS German highflow high performance 200 CPSI catalytic converters I would estimate another 60 to +80HP on all these cars with some sports car sound on pump gasoline.

I should have a Macan Turbo into the shop any day now.

We have a macan turbo 400hp in the fabspeed shop.
Awesome cool agile SUV.

Baseline dyno end the car. Puts out good power to all 4 tires.
Designed rear free flow mufflers with quad tips. Will re dyno and video next week if weather is good. Car sounds great. I have to get one of these cars.

Next project working on free flow HJS Germany trimetalic sports racing cats as replacements for the stock OEM primary cats and then try to get it tuned.

Will post pictures and data next week.

All the car manufacturers are switching to turbocharged engines. It's truly happening at an exponential rate.

You want to bet??? It's a turbo motor as soon as the tuners turn up the boost and tune the ecu I guarantee you that all of that power and then some will be found!!!

Why don't you check and see what the boost difference is between the two cars to begin with that will be most of the horsepower difference!

While you have it in your shop, will you develop secondary cat bypass pipes for the Macan Turbo? If so, when and how much?
