Since the Macan is being made in Leipzig, does this mean this will be the first Porsche SUV/CUV that has a paint to sample option? If so, I might be in!

curious on PDLS if they come w/ the led's in headlights on S or only on turbo.

 

I just received an e-mail from my salesman indicating that Porsche will not do paint to sample on the Macan. I hope he is wrong. Has anyone been able to order paint to sample? I hadn't made a decision on the color but was getting pretty excited about the thought of getting something different. I would appreciate hearing about other experiences.

 

This is listed as standard equipment on the Macan S:

Lighting Systems
Bi-Xenon™ headlights with dynamic headlight leveling, headlight cleaning system and integrated 4-point LED daytime running lights

So it seems you don't even need to order PDLS to get the 4-point LED DRL's. I've still configured my S with PDLS - we have active lighting on our 3-series wagon and it's a great feature when driving on mountain roads.

 

What does PTS have to do with the Leipzig factory??

was told no PTS options by dealer ... I think its a shame that the S they had at LA is not an available color.

wish I could dump my X5 lease ... I'd be all over a Turbo ...

 

 

It is Sapphire blue and it is an available color...(athough not yet). The color gwill be available around march (week 10/2014 according to german pricelist) I asked my dealer today what 10/2014 means (week or month 10), but it is week 10.
With it comes Impulse red metallic available (a "special" color, so that means more expensive, just like the Aurum metallic).

It's a worldwide option. Otherwise they wouldn't introduce the car in the U.S. In that particular color. My guessing is that it becomes available in the configurator somewhere next month.
