You can go crazy on options with ANY porsche. There are a ton of designer options and also options not available on the lesser cars, like 18 way seats, torque vectoring differential, etc.

COMPARABLY equipped, the difference between an SQ5 and a Macan S is under $10k. I have done the build.

Let me do the math for you:

Audi SQ5 Premium - $51,900
-Navigation Plus Pckg. - $3,400
Total = $55,300

Porsche Macan S - $49,900
-Infotainment Pckg. - $2,900
-Premium Package - $2, 590
-20" RS Spyder Design Wheels - $1,650
-3-Zone Climate Control - $510
-Power Seats (14-way) incl. Memory Package - $1,340
-BOSE® Surround Sound System - $1,400
Total = $60,380

So for $5,080 more you are getting:
1. PDK, much better transmission
2. Porsche steering vs. numb Audi steering
3. Better traction control vs. Audi understeering
4. Better steel suspension
5. Better 14-way seats
...
98. Better reliability
99. Better resale
100. A Porsche!

For my money, the Macan S is the better buy!

This is coming with PDK? I was at a P dealer 2 days ago and a '14 Cayenne GTS had Tip... Which surprised the h€ll out of me.

Correct, PDK is standard on the Macans. All Cayennes with auto including the GTS have tiptronic. At least for now.

Cayennes are still tip due to it being more robust for towing than pdk.

Pardon the extremely ignorant question, but for us 6 speed guys, what exactly is the difference between tiptronic and PDK? I don't mean the actual technical difference, but how do they feel different in real world driving?

Tip is just a selectable automatic

PDK is an electronic double clutch box
