Our second Macan and third silver Porsche…

Loving it so far. Super early. I had a somewhat basic and unique order will paste the sheet.

Happy to take more pics or answer any questions.

Question: I thought auto stop/start was supposed to still persist across starts? Seems trivial but…

Congrats! I'm enjoying vicariously, as my GTS just left the English Channel on it's way to the East Coast of North America. Great wheel choice!

Brief notes.
- appears that Porsche closed the loophole that kept start/stop off for the 2026 model year. Moderately pissed.
- Love the 8 way sport seats. Fit like a glove.
- not sure how to charge the phone and use wireless CarPlay. If I plug my phone into usb it thinks it is an iPod. Need to study the manual
- rides greats damping is a bit odd in sport suspension. Need to push it more.
- no sunroof means quieter at speed and you need to put more energy into closing the doors. Air tight.
- wife’s car feels like it has more low end torque and you need to use more throttle in the GTS but the reward is there. Feels like the effect of bigger turbos.
- less burble on start than my wife’s car but it sounds way more exotic.

Overall, car is rad. More notes later.

Should be able to code off the *** feature, or use a T-Design memory module.

Beautiful car, congratulations! Mine arrives at the dealer today, pickup next few days after some PPF. Yes the "mandatory" *** will be different; unless it can be re-coded, switching to sport mode after warm up is the way. Is there still a button below the gear shift lever? Another interesting new feature is "warn and brake assist" which can be turned off in the Cayenne. Here's a thread from the Cayenne forum:

Be careful with the wireless charging. In my 2024, the iPhone gets ridiculously hot during wireless charging when placed in the slot in the center console, plus I had to take my iPhone out of its case. Not worth it. I just leave phone in my pocket.

I don’t recall the wireless set up was all too difficult, manual should walk you through it. Sure is handy having the phone get recognized pretty quick, usually as I’m backing out of garage.

Waiting on my April build. Both of these comments are concerning to me. Hoping someone with a 2026 can confirm the auto stop/start can be closed to be sticky.

I think the GTS torque does kick in at a slightly higher rev, but I’m hoping it isn’t too different from my 2021 from a stop.

Reviews like this don’t help me with my second guessing 😐

No need for concern. The Gen3 GTS pulls very nicely, especially if you have sport chrono and set the throttle to Sport in your Individual program. There are also after market products to adjust thr throttle response so you can fine tune it to your wishes.

Unless there was a PCM change, you should be able to code things like auto s/s permanently off using the right OBD2 scanner. I made multiple changes to my 2024 with no issues, but someone with a newer model will have to confirm this.

Separating two things:
1 Wireless Carplay: I have that set up and it's working if I get in the car and drive without plugging it into anything.
2. Charging: I have the two USBC ports in the armrest. Both of these are also wired carplay ports. So when you plug your phone into them things go a little wonky and the Wireless carplay disconnects and currently Carplay stops working because it thinks it's an iPod. I need to debug.

How are folks charging their phones and/or using Car-play?

My current thinking is:
- Phone mount base from ProClip -- already ordered last night.
- Mag-safe mount. Trying to decide but likely a charging Mag-safe. This means I'll have a wire from the armrest to the magsafe mount.

This will be wired/magsafe charging and wireless carplay. no need to plug any cables into the phone,

Any other approaches folks are taking?

Thanks, yeah I'm not worried about the power. Car is still very fresh so I'm not pushing anything. Will get a feel for it and go from there. Throttle is a little lazy in Normal mode but that Sport Chrono dial is fun to use

Thanks for the hopeful note re: ACC. I told the sales guy that if Porsche changed it on 2026 it would be a deal breaker. He didn't tell me or didn't know. I'll say he didn't know. I'm disappointed but not enough to actually do anything about it. Overall the car just ticks so many other boxes. BTW verified last night that you can program the diamond key on the steering wheel to turn it off. AND it appears you can program it off in Individual mode. Lots of tinkering to be done today.
