Clean and ready for potential buyers for review.
Will still make me sad to see her go. Loyal and a good 10 year run.

Of all the options I like- the only one my family cares about is Apple CarPlay. I get it. But also takes me to 2019 and newer.
With the first generation cars there's really just two major things. Oil leaks and the transfer case. If those two issues have been addressed on a potential vehicle there's not much unusual risk beyond that.

apologies. It’s already spoken for locally. This wasn’t intended to elicit buyers. Just did a lot of work to make it pretty for them to come by later.

You don't need 2019 to get carplay. But 2019+ is better vehicle overall.

Realizing that I actually like the previous generation tail lights over the bar across the newer one. Small detail but I can’t get on board with the redesign.

To each his own. The only thing I miss from my gen 1 is exhaust sound and shift change pops, those were much more fun in gen 1. I can live with the tail lights, gen 2 is better vehicle.

  • Floor mats installed
  • 60,000 mile service performed
  • 15,000 mile service performed
Talked to the sales guy. Big 40k service is done.
He’s looking into CPO but there’s 16
months left on the warranty.
1500-2k per year to extend which probably makes sense.
seems well sorted and always serviced at the dealership.
New pads and rotors done last summer as well.
Going to take a look this week as I may have a buyer lined up for my 997 and dealership has agreed to a sell through to save me some tax.
Looking positive!!!

So the 30,000 miles service was performed in 2022 and the 15,000 one was done in 2025... ok.

Don't see anything on the PDK fluid change or TC oil which should be done at 40k or brake flush at around 30k as well as spark plugs. Definitely would want to check on the VTG value of the TC and get those other service items done which should have been done

thanks.
I was confused by the reverse dates on the services. He’s checking and confirming.
Also confirming the TC and PDK were dealt with.
Brake fluid is good advice. Why I love this place.
Much more prepared now to chat with him tomorrow now. Have some bargaining chips now when we negotiate

Spark plugs need to have been done at 30k..., not sure what "dealt with" means if it's not specifically listed (like multiple oil and filter changes are). Whas the TC fluid replaced or what was the VTG value?

Thanks. He said he’s looking into the service records of those two services to see what was done. Said they were high value amounts into the thousands so he’s looking at for the itemized list. Then I’ll know for sure.

Yes, having just finished all of those (brake flush on Thursday) I've been mentioning this to the wife that she owes me let's see...a grand for plugs, same for PDK, oil change plus... we're near 3 grand ... Yeah make sure they give it to you in writing, GL and keep us posted
