Does anyone have any details on the recent Macan software update that has occurred in the past 3 weeks. I an curious ion what it pertained too? i tried contacting Porsche support they were of no help . Tried dealer. they had no clue
I'm newish to the Macan community having acquired a 2023 GTS back in late May. Are these software updates delivered OTA or at the dealership? If OTA, how are you notified? I don't recall seeing any sort of notification.
I have a 2020 Macan S with a software update to add Android Auto to vehicle.
I know it is on an application level and not in the firmware.
My question, have you heard or are aware of any issues with this aftermarket application software being effected by the Bose system update?

Thanks.
Mine recently updated OTA and got me new maps (finally). Not sure about any other updates. I have Bose and will snoop around next time Im in the car.
There is no real notice that it is updated or is updating unless you happen to be looking at the screen while it is doing it -which I was. I think you can go into the PCM and see your current version and, I think, a list of updates.
Is this update over WiFi? Or truly OTA using LTE? Also any noticeable differences after the update? Any features added through the Bose updates?
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond.
It was annoying to me that my 2021 GTS had old maps and I thought I just had to live with that. I checked periodically for updates but there weren't any. Then I was driving recently and just happened to notice that something in my system was in the process of updating. I had seen that happen before, but I never got new maps out of it. Sure enough I got new maps for South Florida. I'm not really sure how these came into the car (OTA or WIFI) but it happened on its own without my prompting and without dealer involvement. I do have WIFI through AT&T but I doubt that had anything to do with it. Frankly, Porsche's connect services, which have various inexplicable names, are a mystery to me.

I have seen no changes to the Bose system.
Cheers.

This sounds about right. I agree, their interfaces for connectivity are bizzarre and completely unintuitive, and also quite useless. I spent a ton of time to get all the porsche connect stuff authenticated shortly after I got my car only to realize it was completely useless. I could lock or unlock my car... yay!
Do you have your car connected to your phone via a hotspot? Or did you mean something else when you said you have WiFi through AT&T?
