Went out last night and after about 30 seconds of driving got a message on the dash that I should "check left dipped headlight" or something to that effect. The light was out.
Without stopping, I cycled through the headlight switch settings and when I got back to Auto, it came back on. Only to go out again a few minutes later. No bumps, no physical event that would loosen the bulb.
I have Bi-Xenon Headlights w/Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) as part of PPP. DRLs are fine, cornering lights are fine, high beam is fine. It's just the low "dipped" beam that's misbehaving.
I stopped on my errand, thinking/hoping that when I started the car again the issue would go away, but it didn't.
Quick question: when you turn the car on (in a garage or at night or something ) while the bulb is on: is it doing the auto level where it moves around ? Im wondering if one of the motors for the leveling is going /gone bad hence the dipped error. Other thing is if theres a loose connection somewhere it could do that , maybe thats why the bulb is turning off? Other thought: maybe the ballast for the bulb (if not the bulb) needs to be changed.
so many possibilities.

Heres the current status. Of course, I went out last night and the light did not turn off at all. Worked perfectly. This is the first day that Im noticing the shift in color though. Does this color shift have anything to do with whether its the bulb or the ballast?
