From watching the reveal video on Savage Geese, it appears that the new Macan EV
does not offer regenerative braking. This, plus the fact that electric cars can not
offer paddle shifting, you must continually ride the brake. This is a heavy car.
Also the brakes , supposedly, do not offer any feedback, or normal modulation.
If you have tried riding the brake in any gas powered Porsche, riding the brake
gets old really quick. Although the new Macan EV looks amazing, the riding experience
is destined to be less that rewarding with this short coming.
My guess is, Porsche is throwing their dealers a bone. Any attempt on Porsche's part to optimize brake life through regeneration is bad for the dealer's bottom line. Brakes and tires (look for EV tires to be DRM'ed somehow, at some point) are the obvious remaining moneymakers for the service department, now that $600 oil changes are a thing of the past.

I'll bet you few people interested in purchasing the new Macan EV will be aware of this issue. Just like the people who purchased the first generation Taycan
only to discover that their value plummeted quickly. In fact all EV's are nothing more that a disposable fluff that will be nothing but a money pit. Long live the
Gas powered Porsches !
This was not Mark's experience on Savage Geese. The Macan EV does not offer one peddle regenerative breaking like the Tesla Model S,
So to drive it you will have to ride the brake. This will become tiring and boring after a short while...just saying.

You made your point in multiple threads, what else do you want? You don’t have to buy one.
