Does this mean the tune can't be detected by a dealer??? Or is there more to it than that?

We reset the flash counter because the MG1 ECU in your vehicle will only allow a specific number of flash counts before it prevents further flashing. Resetting the counter eliminates the limit.

SO does that mean the tune still can be detected by a dealer? or no?

We offer our own warranty program (APR Plus). We've never taken one to a dealer to check.

I'm more concerned about resale. If a dealer can't CPO the vehicle that drops the value. Perhaps you want to check out this aspect and report back.

Assume that any flash tune would be detected.

Well, if the flash counter is set back to 1, I'm not sure that's the case. That's the question I guess.

It does not reset the other changes in boost, timing etc.. that would be detected.

Flashing back to stock reloads the original factory file. So of course the changes to boost, timing, etc, are reverted.

I might just chat with my dealer about this. They are pretty progressive, so I think I can have an open conversation with them. I would be curious for APR to pursue this as well, since you guys would have the most technical knowledge about the tune and the ECU/TCU.

I wasn't refering to changes, but the history that would be recovered should there be a failure while operating.
