Dash cam add on?
I spoke with the Service Manager at my local Porsche Dealership. He said that there are many negatives to the Porsche Dash Cam.
It takes at least seven hours to wire it . You can imagine that bill. It also only serves the front window, not the back. The camera is most
unreliable and still has many glitches. The camera itself is of poor quality. There is poor connectivity to your app.
Better to go to your local installer and have them do it and advise what is best.
The FitCamX website is ambiguous (to me) whether a 95B 2023 Macan S, which takes the "Model B" unit, can be connected via the newer instructions, to the rain sensor, or does it have to be connected to the dome light (disregarding the direct wire to the fusebox method). Can anyone confirm if the 95B Macan can use the rain sensor? I have contacted customer support and received "yes it can" and "no it can"t from different support responders.
Mangoal tech also best option for OEM style dash cam but for more information you can do more research

Did not want to experiment on the Macan so I ordered and installed this dashcam on a GMC Sierra. Happy with the purchase.
Something to be aware:
- video is stamped with DATE,TIME ( if no GPS signal is received) as well as LAT,LONG,SPEED (if GPS signal is good)
- to view video you need to download to phone using their app (my choice) or pull SD card out ( inconvenient). When played on phone app ,you will also see a map synced with the video
- if you try to use a dashcam video player ( tested on a PC) you will not get the same experience as the app (no map synced with video)
-dascam install video available on amazon, on the product page
-GPS module comes with a long cord and will need to be placed on windshield or as close to windshield as possible. Manufacturer recommends placing it in center of center console, by windshield but I think in a corner of windshield, at bottom of pillar should be OK. I initially installed GPS module on the back of the rearview mirror but it was not consistently getting a satellite lock. This might be the biggest issue when trying to keep the clutter to a minimum

Also, if not placing GPS module per manuf. recommendations, you will need to deal with the 5ft (approx) cable.
- when the GPS signal is good, the camera view ( on dashcam app) will show your speed and direction of travel (there is no other way to know GPS signal is good but driving with phone app open).
I think this is the best OEM-like option at this time.
If you own a FitcamX dashcam please explain the instability, useability, quality issues and I will try to answer /look into the Mangoal dashcam. Tx!
