Just bought a 2017 Macan GTS with 109k miles yesterday, couple questions
It was an unexpected purchase, friends moving out of the country very soon and had to get rid of their vehicles.
I'm total OCD and went and looked and it's in great condition except some scratches and paint chips, no dings or dents and the interior is in great condition.
I've owned Porsche's before, 944,993,986, and a Cayenne diesel.
I love this Macan and saw a dealer sales video of one and it showed Google maps on the screen. I have a Tesla and just love Goodle maps and wondering how I can get that on my car.
The window sticker shows 67k and also 20k in options so it's pretty well equipped. I wish it did have a hitch, vented seats, and push button start.
The owner has tons of money and the car has incredible service records.
I'm super happy to be a Porsche owner again, and if anyone knows how to get Google maps that would be great.
Thank You

Did the previous owner have a dog or something that sat in the front seat? There are a lot of odd scratches and indentations in the leather.
You could get Google Maps through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? There are a couple of folks on the forum that offer this service.

I’ll look into it, thank you.

And my F-type has a pouch button.
move just gotten so used to not having to turn a key.
The old owner is still trying to find the manual, and I can’t seem to find a PDF one online, only found a Chinese one on the Porsche website.
there’s a key (not the regular fob) stuck in the ignition and that’s what you turn, I guesss that’s how this car works? My Cayenne diesel, you stuck the key fob in the ignition.

Ahhh, okey dokey, didn’t know that. I’m used to Tesla doing nothing but touch the brake and the car’s ready to go.

Nice GTS.
I have a 16' S with over 150k miles!
Are those wheels factory?

Since you have "Porsche entry and drive" (also referred to as keyless go) you can get one of these "dummy plugs" so you only have to have your key in your pocked etc.

I hate carrying anything in my pockets. I don’t even have a wallet, and my phone gets me in and out of the car.
I just have to get used to carrying a key fob around again. At least the Porsche fob is semi slim. Thank you

Not sure about 2017 model but my 2022 GTS can be locked by touching the proximity sensor on the rear of the door handle (key fob most be on your person).

My 2018 Macan S can also be locked by touching the proximity sensor - either on front or rear of door handle. There is a small dimple on the handle where the sensor is.
