Default Engine noise

So as some kmownim looking for a Macan turbo to daily drive.

Long story short I found this one and it's a steal but I'd like opinions from owners on these engine noises. They arrangements labeled in video. There are cold atart 20 degrees, 30 seconds later, and warm idle.

Does anyone have any input?

It's a steal for a reason. There is something wrong with the engine. Don't buy this car.

Almost sounds like it's oil starved on start up... not an unforeseen circumstance when it's 20 degrees outside and the engine is cold. Warm idle sounds fine. Perhaps it has the wrong oil, or it actually has a valve or lifter issue? I'd take it to a certified Porsche mechanic, who will have a much better diagnosis than most of us on the internet.

they wontbtake off the lot. It's a nj private dealership quote unquote. It's not a porsche dealership.

I mean one porsche guy told me, that if it's been sityingbfor days at a time that could happen. It makes ince. Driving it though it felt strong as nd made no noise. I could here the injectors fire from I side the cabin tho.

I would be wary about a car that the seller (dealer or private) won't allow a PPI. Did you check Carfax?

No matter the reason for the engine sounds, the price is a red flag.

Preowned cars, buyers and sellers constitute a market. All sellers in a market know the prices offered by other sellers. A "steal", in other words a surprisingly low price, is a red flag. It means a seller is unnecessarily offering a below-market price, or the low price is necessary for a reason not transparently disclosed to the buyer.

Don't buy this car.

I'm thinking this another way, say I buy this for 28.9, maybe lower. And it DOES need engine work, I test drove amother one that was cpo but double the price but no options so essentially 'less' car.

If it did need major work in would need to nbn have to spend 30gs before I got to the cpo and by that point this WOULD be cpo, and it has better options than the other.

it will. Thats why im looking at this over a cpo low mileage, less depreciation its already hit. but I'm leaning towards the cpo regardless as its 30000 miles but less options and but has unlimited mile warranty, and I can deduct from my taxes any depreciation. the difference is its twice as much.

Someone said if the engine was sitting for days then ALL oil is drained to the pan. If thats what this is its a steal for sure, maybe the dealer doesnt understand that.
I did start a cpo and although the hood was down, no it didnt sound quite so pronounced. but i also dont know the last time it was started.

Maybe NJ has lemon laws I can get around this repair bill with should I buy it.

My mother told me if something seems too good to be true it probably is. Wait maybe that was Abraham Lincoln. I'm not really sure.

It seems so. Idk maybe its worth dumping a couple thousand into, maybe it isnt. Either way I cant seem to find another one with PASM, PVT, sport chrono, and premium package in one car. thats my main concern.

The oil drained into the bottom of the engine is rubbish. All cars since the beginning of time do that.

You want this car.

Do not buy this car.

Preventing you from getting a PPI is the biggest, brightest red flag and it's waving right in your face. Unless they are willing to warranty the vehicle themselves, this should be a nonstarter.
