Right - square setup means same size on all 4 and you can rotate them. This is the first vehicle for me that has a staggered setup, and I ordered the appropriate sized winters but I'm not concerned about performance in the winter.

Reading up on some Porsche material, the setup was/is meant for driving dynamics and aesthetics (https://presse.porsche.de/presskits_...e_23774_0.html - site is in German) which makes sense in the nice weather because we tend to push the vehicles are little more (or a lot more..); When we accelerate, power and weight distribution goes to the rear of the vehicle - hence wider tires make sense. While the same applies in the Winter, I think a square setup should work just fine. Anyone have any thoughts?

Common thinking says use narrower tires in the snow. Square setup uses the smallest width on all four wheels so perhaps best for traction in snow. In the case of traditional two wheel REAR drive, having the narrow tires in the rear was important. With a four wheel drive Macan it may be less so. I don't think it has much to do with rotating tires. If that is what you are worried about you go square setup all year round, not just for winter.
