Default Turning off DRLs

First post in this forum! I'm semi-regular over in the 964 one...
Anyway, new to me 2013 Macan S and it's alright. I've managed to set up most of it to my liking (although I still can't get the hard drive to play stuff in the album order, so usually just listen to DAB stations and quietly fume) but the one other thing I can't figure out how to do is permanently turn off those ridiculous DRLs. Any ideas?

*****WHY would you TURN OFF the DRL's They could save you life or the life of someone else
Too many people "forget" to turn on their lights at DUSK, the most dangerous time to drive
These days with so many grey cars they are hard to see in your rear view mirror..DRL's are a great safety feature....
Also lights that come on when it starts to get dark,,,great feature that too many people do not set to AUTOMATIC

Because they're stupid and I hate DRLs on everything. Even the name is stupid. DAYTIME running lights. Lights for when it's already light. I'm still capable of turning lights on myself. Which is why I want to turn these off.

You "may" be able to remember to turn on lights, but consider the average person (moron) driving who can't even remember to use directional signals, keep to the right etc etc
nd, there is still that quick glance in the mirror before changing lanes, and not seeing YOU

If they can't see two tonnes of car by them , then that accident is happening whether there're retina searing lights on or not.

Anyways, how do I turn the bastarding things off?

What year is the vehicle? 2014 was the earliest iteration in any market as far as I am aware.

I'm all for anything that increases the visibility of my car, front or rear. Retina searing, really? Seems like a lot of anger directed at a relatively low impact safety feature.

I had a Lexus with what I thought was unusually bright DRLs. I tinted them and it helped immensely to achieve the right brightness.

Otherwise, you are looking at a Launch or similar scanner to code out the safety features. There are some good threads on coding to research.

I will never understand not using a feature that could save you or someone else's life...."some" of the mandated safety features actually make good sense 3rd brake light, etc....some others ech

I have viewed many humorous, ridiculous, radical & controversial opinions on these forums, but never one that would have me classify the op in the village idiot class ….. until now! If he would ever drive two lane roads at speed, the reason for DRL is pretty obvious.
Stay on the interstates op :-)

For the most part I agree, actually. But I'm photosensitive, and some wavelengths of light actually hurt or anger me - imagine misophobia, but with light. I've got that, too.
If I seem overtly sensitive or touchy about these lights, well, it's because I am. So if I can turn them off and avoid triggering others in this 21st century sensory hellscape, then I will!
For the folk with helpful answers about coding them out, thank you.

If you are sensitive to light please don't drive at night, it will be dangerous.
