Default Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller

Is anyone using the Curt Echo or Tekonsha wireless trailer brake controller?
Is it really plug and play with the Macan tow outlet?
TIA

Follow up.

I set up the Curt Echo on our 21 Macan GTS and it works as advertised.
For anyone going down this road you start by removing the Torx screws from the factory tow receiver. I bought the requisite Euro->US adapter from Suncoast and plugged it into the factory harness and then secured the adapter with the Torx screws. The Curt Echo plugs into the new receptacle. It comes with a rubber strap for an extra layer of security.
As others have posted, I was unable to setup the device until it was connected to the car (on) and the trailer harness. Then setup was a piece of cake.
While test driving the setup you can change the sensitivity and brake output using the app just like you would with an analog trailer brake device. The Echo app also allows you to manually activate the trailer brake.
The only thing I do not like about it is that the factory plug angles downward and this is more pronounced with the Echo device in place. I would likely need to do some serious off roading for this to be a problem.
